££££ for make up artist?

No recommendations but i looked at a few local people (essex) and they were all about £45 for a trial and £70 for the day so that sounds about right.

Hiya, i am getting married in Scotland and I am paying the following:

Just had another quote. £90 - includes trial, on the day and flase lashes (if required). £25 deposit required.

Both seem reasonable? Anyone else care to share their quotes/prices?

How do I decide between the 2?!

Those quotes seem fairly normal to me. I have had some that are nearly £200

I'm in west yorkshire and i've been quoted £32 for trial £40 on the day. And £25 for bridesmaids

JLCB2B - I'm in Scotland and finding it expensive , your prices look reasonable however. Who are you using?

In Bournemouth i've had quotes that seem to be around the £100 mark but finally found a mobile beauty lady for £50 (inc trial) or £65 with lashes (last 7-10 days)then £10 each for the bridesmaids, she had loads of good comments and I will have a trial first so hopefully will be ok! I'm on the hunt for a hair dresser now!! Anyone want to share there quotes on hair too?

I did find someone for £100 for hair and make up but they never replied to my emails so haven't bothered again now!

Hi Sarah, it might depend on where you are but I am using Lauren Munro who is based in Alexandria and she will be coming to the venue on the day. I emailed a few companies, but she was the first person to respond and what I've seen looks good.

There is a wedding fair on at Duck Bay Marina at the end of Feb that she will be attending so i will get to meet her there as I have only spoken to her on the phone and via email

I think I have found the same ones as you...i'm gonna go for the £90 one which includes trail and on the day (with lashes).

I'm in the south and paying £75 for my make-up which included the trial ?

I've looked at Rachel McNeela and Sonara Parker, are these the ones you have seen? A friend has also recommended Holly Fairclough.

I had a quote for £40 for trial and £70 on the day, £50 per bridesmaid - just for make up. So I'm doing my own - cost £20 for new mascara & lippy!

I meant to ask.....what's this about airbrush make up?!

I'm in East Anglia and have a lovely make up lady who is doing my make up inc trial for £45 pluas £20 each for the BM's on the day. That includes travel although I am only 15 mins away. Luckily she did my best friends wedding in Feb so I had her do my make up for that and she's fab. Got my trial in 2 weeks and I cant wait!!

My make-up lady charges £50 for trial & £50 on the day. My hair lady is roughly £45 for trial & £55 - £70 on the day depending on complex the hair is. I'm based in the midlands. Pleased to see from this thread that I'm not paying over the odds.

My make-up lady is £200 but that includes up to 2 hair and make-up trials, hair and make-up on the day (at my house) including airbrushing if needed and false eyelashes. Plus she is lovely and very highly recommended!

**ETA - I'm in Milton Keynes

£35 for bridal trial and £25 for BMs and MOB trial

£55 on the day for bride and £40 per BM and MOB on the day

My hairdresser is giving me a free trial as she is a friend and she is charging £40 on the day and an extra £10 for each BM.. to cover her travelling and time costs as she lives in Oxford and will be travelling to WSM.
