Found the dress

Spry'sBride, 13 December, 2010 at 14:06 Posted on Planning 0 5

After a few frustrating trips to various bridal boutiques I have found my dress. I got it from the bridal department in Oxfam, and if you are lucky enough to have one of their stores near you do pop down! All of the dresses are brand new, and cost a fraction of the price. And I got a gorgeous veil for £35.

Poor quality photo, but you get the gist!

That's a very flattering dress on your shape. And well done on a bargain, lovely!

That looks lovely - Your waist looks tiny in it!

I would have loved to have had a look in one of the Oxfam shops, but the nearest one to me is 2 hrs away ☹️

Dress looks stunning and really suit you!

Can I be cheeky and ask what the range of prices were for the dresses in oxfam?

That's not cheeky at all, it's a very important question! I paid £300 for the dress and £35 for the veil. All of the dresses are new from the bridal houses (not donated by Joe public) and start at about £100. They also have accessories like shoes, tiaras and wraps. If I didn't have 10 (yes, 10) bridesmaids, I'd go there for their dresses too!

We're also collecting crockery for our afternoon tea wedding from charity shops, so it would seem I'm having a very charity shop themed wedding!!!
