OK now as well as having BM's and CBM you got to have a CPT (cheif piss taker).....this is how you do it (how i did it when i got married last time)

    open cubicle door

CPT pulls up dress....you then take hold of it all in a heap under your chin

    CPT pulls down your panties

    CPT backs you into cubicle

when you feel toilet hit you in the back of the legs you sit down.....CPT can help holding up dress at this point

CPT can offer to wipe or you might have to shake dry

    stand up

CPT pulls up panties while you hold dress

step out of cucible and pull down dress

now this does work but you got to be really close friends for this to work

    hope this helps.....good luck

I had this conversation with my bridesmaid (who got married a few years ago)... she said there's no way round it... either her or my mum will have to come to the toilet with me and hold my dress up!!! She said that when she went for a wee in her dress, she had to sit on the toilet backwards so her mum could hold the train!!

Yeah I heard that sitting the other way round on the toilet is easier then you can hold the front bit up and get someone to hold the train for you. When we were looking at Venues this was my mums top priority - where are you going to go to the loo. Needless to say our venue has a lovely big disabled loo meaning no squishing into a cubicle! ?

I must have a steel bladder because I drank gallons of water in the evening as I was so hot!

I never thought of that lol, thats made my day! luckily my train is detachable, so peeing will be easier, but still will be a problem lol. hahaha what a comical thread.

Definately sit backwards on the seat. I also used the disabled loo as it had much more room.

I read on here about facing the wall instead of the door. When I went to my friends wedding, I told her and she said it was a lot easier.

For my wedding I had the help of both my bridemaids, as my dress was quite big with a long train too. We had to use the disabled loo as it was the only one I could actually get into, they then had to gather up the dress for me and hold it whilst I walked backwards until I fold the loo. Everything about the whole situation had us all in fits of laughter everytime, its not the most lady like situation to be put into!! lol

I managed twice with no help, so it can be done! My dress was pretty big and had a train (pics when I get my arse in gear to write my report). I'm not sure I could exactly describe the technique, but I used the disabled cubicle, and kind of sat diagonally facing towards the back, with the dress all bunched up and moved over to the "free" side. The hardest part was actually getting my knickers down and up as they were stuck under the corset of the dress.

I had two bridesmaids on standby before each attempt but didn't need them.

I did it on my own too, despite the 'kind' offer of help from my step gran! My dress had a hoop and train. I sat backwards and it really wasn't a big deal, though a bit weird.

Ladies who went backwards - did you have to completely take off your knickers?

    I had a huuuuge train:

What I did was, walk into the loo and grab loo roll first with my left hand. Then grab my train to the left hand side of me under my arm (the hoop helped here), then use the other hand to pull down (but never lose) my knickers.

I then used the loo roll as required, pulled up my knickers and then rearranged the skirt etc.

I didn't NEED help (I had to go alone at one point) but I did gratefully accept it once.

    HMMMMMM!!

I think I may be able to manage by myself, but I may start practising going sideways. How much is a 'shewee'? ?

Ah, I spent last week trying to decide between a long dress with a massive train or a tea length one. Glad I choose the shorter one now ?

Is it weird this is freaking me out. People at work call me walnut bladder because I go so often. I've been told to sit on the toilet backwards and bridesmaids hold dress up.

I suppose I got 7/8 months to work on my OCD

Love it LM. I think I'll be okay as I haven't got a train to worry about. In fact I should be ok as i'm in an a-line skirt without much volume. I have to admit to being a "peanut bladder", like my MOH. We shall see on the day in the end

I am awful too - in a normal day I must use the loo - pffft, 10 times or more! On the wedding day I went one before church (alone as I was the only one in!) and then twice all afternoon/evening.

@ Karen - it should be easy then - leg up onto the loo seat, shewee out.. Off you go ?

@ Clare - try not to overthink it, as when you need to go, you'll find a way of going.

It's not as hard as you think it is going to be actually! I managed to just hoist mine up and pull the train around.....I did use disabled toilet at reception venue to give me more room, but when we were having our group pics done I needed the loo and had to use public loo in grounds....I did get some funny looks but it was achievable on my own xx
