Apparently if you put your full postcode into google and then click on the orange man, it will go the picture.

    Umm. No.

    But people who are thinking of committing crimes have been known to be in posession of street level photographs of the area that they intend to commit it in, if you see what I mean.

    Thats really funny, I can see a lady walking down the road, and can navigate to see her at all angles - weird!!!

    But if you wanted to plan something awful then surely you could just go there and take photos yourself anyway?

    My initial reaction was the same as your, R-A. However, thinking about it I can see problems with it. Assuming that some houses are clearly more easy to burgle from the outside than others (no idea which this would be- maybe no alarm, door hidden from view of road, that sort of thing) it does allow burglars to sit and trawl the streets for likely from the warmth of their studies without raising anyone's suspicions.

    I would certainly object to the government conducting a similar exercise.
