This should be a sticky at the top of every hitched forum!

You'd be surprised how many times I see this on FB. Also, there is one person who puts 'agin' instead of 'again'. Twunt.

I *always* see than and then getting mixed up. It's not even similar!!

I also agree about it being a sticky on the forums, haha.

    Love this.

I have a few people on FB who's statuses are now hidden due to variations on the above.

My absolute pet hate is the one or two people who mix up His and He's. i.e. 'XXX has just tied he's own shoelaces. His so clever!'

    ?

Good God, either people are just really stupid, or... nope, they're just really stupid.

Wow. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

One of my pet hates is 'being' vs 'been'. I just don't understand how people get that wrong but my husband used to. I think I've coached him out of it.

ETA: He's an intelligent man too, much more intelligent than me but his grammar was often quite bad. I find it odd that intelligence and good grammar don't always go hand in hand.

I think a lot of it is pure laziness though.

I know it's not technically the same but can we add 'ARQUARD' to the list if this becomes a sticky topic? ?

Breathe and breath has been annoying me lately.

Some one will have a rant and say and breath. No breathe. Or take a breathe. No take a f'kin breath!

Also you buy things not bring them. Bought/brought.

    As you were.

The one that really grates on me, which I see time and time again on here is "brought" instead of "bought" e.g. "I brought a wedding dress today"

Brought = past participle of "to bring"

Bought = past participle of "to buy"

    Easy!

That really bugs me too Knees, and you see it so often!

I think people are just lazy which is why they don't use the correct grammar.
