Help me choose my shoes please - brain frazzled!

Kat44, 13 June, 2011 at 21:42 Posted on Planning 0 30

I like all of these shoes and am finding it so hard to choose!

I will be having them dyed. I did have a favourite before but looked at a few slighter smaller heeled ones now and I'm all confuddled!

I'd love your opinions on these please!

TIA

I'm torn between 4 and 5 - if it were me I would let the comfort factor make my mind up! Have you actually tried any of them on yet?

    PS loving those Uggs!

I like 6 as to me they look like they should be more comfortable than the others. All are lovely shoes though so perhaps you need to go try them on to help you decide. I want those Uggs!

The Uggs are immense aren't they?!

Saw them on a couple of wedding shoe websites http://www.girlsofelegance.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh000001.pl?REFPAGE=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2egirlsofelegance%2eco%2euk%2facatalog%2fBridal%2dCorsets%2ehtml&WD=ugg&PN=Just%2dMarried%2dBoots%2ehtml%23a20678#a20678 but they're actually from http://www.lovefromaustralia.com/lfa_collections_cupid_married.php

As regards the other shoes, the problem is i have no idea where stocks these to try them on!!

Because I'm getting them dyed I can try before I buy/dye and they said I can return them until I find a pair I'm happy with but I kind of don't want to keep returning 7 pairs so thought I'd try to narrow it down a little!

I have number 4 as my wedding shoes - and they look fab on.

But when I was deciding it was a toss-up between 3 and 4. I went for 4 as they were slightly cheaper.

I love number 2! Don't know if this is true or worth taking heed of, but my dress lady told me to avoid anything with embelishments in a 'claw' setting on my shoes as the claws could catch on and pull / tear your dress. Has made me rather paranoid!

Can you walk in sling backs? Do you have a train? You won't want the material from the back of your dress getting caught under your heel. (Similarly if you're going to wear stockings you might find the slingbacks slip a little).

Again, depending on the length I'd avoid any 'sharp' embellishments. Unless any of them particularly call out to you, I'd go for comfort.

As for the Uggs, I must say they are one of the most ridiculous wedding items I have ever seen! They'd get absolutely filthy and if you ever wore them again (which, at £200 a go, you'd be keen to I presume) you'd look a bit like a bride who couldn't let go of her day! Just my opinion though!

4 for me, I found sling back shoes were a real pain as they kept slipping off!

Number 4 or 5 for me, both really lovely shapes.

Immensely dislike the UGG boots though.

No 2 and No 5. Platform sole would be comfortable but the embellishment would rip the dress to shreds. Lurve the uggs! If you got them, providing they stayed clean, you could flog em on afterwards.

Id be tempted to go for one of the round toe ones simply because i find peep toe shoes can cut into my does and hurt whereas round toe tend to be a bit comfier, but thats just me. it think they look nice and elegant too. and love the boots btw!!!

Thank you all for your opinions and advice, much appreciated.

My original favourites were 4, 5 and 2, for different reasons. I have decided to buy number 4 and try them first. I need to make sure two things, that they ar comfy enough to walk in and not too high and that they don't pinch my toes, but I do like them lots so took the plunge and ordered them today.

If they aren't suitable, I will probably go with number 2!

Sometimes I find slingbacks easier to walk in than slip ons as they tend to slip off more than on and I'm hoping that by having a hoop under my skirt it should stop any worries with the dress Smiley smile
