Help with shoes!

Nutella, 14 March, 2012 at 17:57 Posted on Planning 0 17

Any opinions on shoes please?!

Much as I would love to be, I'm simply not a shoe kind of a girl. My toes got crushed in a accident a few years back and I don't really wear heels anymore, I tend to live in uggs! But I'd like something that gives a good posture for the wedding, as well as being a little bit pretty. However am not prepared to spend a fortune!

With help from Tray I've managed to come across 3 that could be suitable.. What do you think? I've posted a pic of what my dress will look like-ish, am a little concerned that if I go for lacy shoes it may be overkill?

I bought the debenhams ones for my MOH and they are gorgeous in the flesh, so I would go with them!

Your dress is really similar to mine!! Is it Pronovias? To be honest you barely see the shoes under a wedding dress so don't worry too much about the material. Can you walk in heels? If its been a few years I would try & find a pair with a slightly wider heel if possible because you don't want to go over on your ankle! I'm not keen on the "boot" style but both of the other two are very pretty!!

I like the first two but not the third pair. I have bought the first pair there and they are really comfortable, they come up quite roomy though. Not sure if it would affect you but for me I am in between sizes so went for the smaller size. I can't walk in really high heels like I used to and these are the perfect height. I don't think the lace would be overkill at all and who would see much of them anyway under your dress...?

It's true no-one really sees your shoes so don't worry too much. I like the first pair! I wore slingbacks on my wedding day and they kept on slipping down under my heel which irritated me!

    Fab dress by the way!

It's Manuel Mota, I'm not actually having this dress, but mine is being designed and made based on it for a fraction of the price! ?

I know no-one sees them really but I suppose it's a bit like underwear, theres something about you knowing whats under there that brings a certain confidence...or am I talking tosh ?

I can get 1 & 2 for a total of £54... OH has said I'm allowed! And then I can decide when they arrive!!

Think I'll still want a simple ballet shoe or something for the evening though...

    BV - scary isn't it!!

First or second - although I'd probably say the second I think would look best. Sling backs and open toes though? Might be a bit slippy at the back and pinchy at the front? Please don't choose the third option, it's none of my business really, but I really don't want you to wear a shoe-boot on your wedding day!!

Schuuh and Office sell toms, but I'm not sure if they have these ones. You can get glittery or sequin toms, too! I think you can order them online as well...
