Hi another BTer reporting for duty!

pea in a pod, 27 June, 2010 at 20:29 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 4

Hiya, i am a lurker/poster on BT as i have a LO who is 23 months

so me... well i am generally a size 16 13st/13.5st it isnt great but its my 'place' iyswim. so since having my son i joined WW last yr in jan and started at 15st ? and got down to lowest of 13 1.5 pretty must this time last yr to the day.

since then it went down hill and i am now a shocking 15.5st ??

so i have joined WW again and i am DETERMINED! i have a family wedding in sept so thats first goal and to fit in a dress i wore to my sons christening (coast sz16) as there is no point in buying another dress and this one is lovely.

i weigh in on a friday and this fri just gone was my first, my H has been away so i have been so so so good so hoping to do well come fri.

i even saw that the jeans i have been wearing (debenhams sz18) were reduced less than half price and i had a coupon so £7.50 bargain! so i bought a 16, they fit but i have a mega muffin top and i hate that so i am slimming into them, hope this was the right thing to do!

also can anyone tell me how to get a weight loss ticker i think that could be helpful too me

so now i have told you about me, share your goals etc with me

    ?

Best of luck at WW - you can do this ?

The dress is a good motivation! Can you put a photo of it on the fridge or any cupboards where temptation may lurk?

I'm not sure about the tickers, sorry.

My goal is to lose 4 stones but I have broken that down into smaller targets:

Lots of 7lbs targets and 5% of body weight/10% of body weight/wedding day weight/'normal' BMI and then final goal

    ?

Thanks for your words of encouragement

what plan are you following or are you more commited than me and can do it yourself?

my goal is 4st too i would love to be below 11st mainly as due to the type of contaceptive pill i take i have to take two pill instead of just 1 as i am over 11st? i know alot of the population is over 11st but this just makes me embarrased having to take two

i too have made smaller targets and i am more basing it on clothes/ how i feel rather than weight as i do weigh alot for my size i have dense bones apparently (oh lucky me!) alot of the blurb says i should be 8.5-9.5 stone but that seems quite slim too me, and i am not looking at this thinkig i will go from 15 to 8 as that would be too hard to work towards, baby steps and all.

Sorry I'm late to this, I always forget to check this forum for some reason (or don't post cos I've not done very well and don't want to admit it to myself!). Just wanted to say good luck and I completely get the buying a pair of jeans to slim into, it gives you a nice thing to aim for!

Sorry, only just returned to this post!

I'm following Slimming World but doing it on my own, not classes/online subscription. I am finding it OK actually. I think it's because I am in the right mindset to do it this time - I don't want to be overweight and unhealthy for my 4.5 month old daughter, and want to show her good and healthy eating habits.

Do you use Deadwood? I have joined in on some of the monthly challenges on the Weight Loss forum there. It's really helping the motivation by posting my losses ?

I'm reviewing how my clothes fit too, and can really see the difference lately. I am back into clothes I couldn't fit into before I became pregnant!

Baby steps is a great way to do it. Best of luck and keep us updated ?

Hiya I've had a nightmare of late trying to log onto here - been trying to since the thread about the SW password was posted!!!!

I've been rubbish the past few days, grandfather taken ill abroad, I've got a yukky open wound, so I've been eating whatever OH makes or take aways ? But I will get my head back into it this week. I'll be going to weigh in Thursday, I've not been for two weeks and if I'm honest I am totally expecting to be back at my start weight.
