Hi Steph, WELCOME, , i'm quite new to Hitched myself, have you set your date yet, my date is 29th October 2011.

I haven't tried Zumba yet but heard loads of good reviews about it.

I'm going to enjoy Christmas, and the STRICT DIET and EXERCISE is my new year resolution (if my other half was reading this he'd be laughing), , , , ?

    Hi and Welcome,

I got to Zumba, its meant to burn between 500-1000 kcal per session my teacher says depends on how much you shake, it is great fun and seems to have been good for toning up my bum and muffin top seems to be disappearing lol try it and have fun x

Hi and welcome to Hitched ?

I've been to one zumba class but it was too dancy for me - I like boxing and stuff like that!!! Its fun and a good start if you don't do any regular exercise just now. I know people that go 3/4 times a week so it must be good!!!!

Hope you enjoy it if you go.

    Im a zumba girl ?

Its great fun and i go with 2 other friends, like someone else said the more you shake the calories you'll burn, it is hard at first just getting the steps but you soon pick it up. I feel i work harder knowing the steos.

I get married in 6months 3 weeks today so need to lose a good stone before im happy!!

One of my Daughters tried it but didn't lose anything. She has tried SW, WW and now is doing Kettlebell and has lost 6lbs in 2 weeks.

I've heard lots of good things about it. Do you think hips like Shakira would suit me?

Ok, so I think all these exercise things are complete rubbish - I love my zumba class though after 6 sessions do I look like my instructor.......NO!! It's the same with workout dvds - I put on a Cindy Crawford one and watched it - did I come away looking like her - again NO!!!! Someone once told me I actually had to do the stuff she was - but surely that can't be true ? I'm sure I learnt about Osmosis at school many years ago - should be the same - surely???
