If you do not want to do anything then think its perfect, there is not much there, we have booked for our honeymoon in December will be there at new year, Weather is meant to be good all year round and the shorter flight attracted us. We are staying at the Riu Karamboa with Thomson in Boa vista Can't wait.

We looked at it as a watersports location and there is a LOT to do but only if you're experienced. We decided against it as I'm not up to standard and didn't want to spend 3 weeks sat on a beach watching H2B 2 miles off shore.

We have also booked our honeymoon to Cape Verde, we are staying at the Riu Karamboa in Boa Vista.

We went for this because we wanted somewhere with great weather sraight after we get married, we didn't want long haul flights and we wanted somewhere to relax without the feeling of missing out on doing things.

Our travel agent highly recomended the Riu Karamboa and the reviews look great too Smiley smile

I went about 4 years ago when it was literally just baron but I hear it's built up a bit more now. We stayed at the Riu on Sal island and as everyone else said there's nothing to do except watersports. The hotel made it for us though as you didn't need to leave the hotel if you didn't want to and it really was beautiful.

Went in December and must admit some days were a bit chilly and not for sunbathing but others really hot. Take a cardi for the evening!!

I've been twice to Sal island CV.. Great for relaxing in the sun but not much else to do.. the food outside of the Rui's as well really nice little bars in Santa Maria town has a Havana feel about it..

There isn't alot to do but we stayed for 2 weeks last October and didn't get bored, but then 2 weeks of chilling was well needed..?
