Thankyou all!! it was really hot and spent most of the time in the pool!!! H is very brown, he was very poorly on the way home, was being sick constantly on the plane. He seems better now though! think he must have picked up a bug while we were out there.

Egypt was lovely, we had never been before, but we had been to turkey a few time and saw lots of similarities. WE stayed in the Radisson Blu hotel which is in Naqb. or you can stay in narma Bay. I had never done any snorkelling so I was really pleased to do it there, was amazing. What time of year are you planning on going!? have you picked where you want to stay yet?

Yeah they kept saying the 'Egypt bug' lol. But I was fine (touch wood) When we have been to turkey in the past we have both been poorly then. We were just lucky it was wen we were coming home and not over there.

It's funny isn't it, people react differently to different things. I was still ill for a month when I got back from Egypt! NolaD, have you been to Thailand? AMAZING cooking courses and food!

wss! we went to thailand for our HM - it was amaaaaaaaaaaazing.

Jealous!! We looked for ages at honeymoons, and a big part was our travelling. I didn't want to travel for that long. took about 5 and a half hours and that was long enough for me!!

food there was fine, loads of different places to eat, but we found a couple of good places and stuck with the,. Husband (still feels weird calling him that!) isn't into exotic food that much!

Egypt, wow looks amazing. I'm very jealous of your tan. I don't tan very easily & started off on factor 30 for the 1st week in the Maldives as I was worried I'd burn. Hope you had a great wedding, did the rain affect you much? I too haven't written my report yet, just want to laze around & do nothing at the moment (well I have made it into my banks today to change my name!).

You look fab. We went back to Sharm at the end of May for our 1st anniversary and the heat was unbearable then so can't imagine how we would have coped a month later.

Never been to Nabq but have been to Sharm 3 times in 3 1/2 years and still love it. Neither of us have been ill either so for people who haven't been don't be put off. I'm a sicky person usually but in Egypt it's partly your luck and partly down to where you eat. I'm a really fussy with my food (in terms of variety) so don't go into local places or eat salads, fruit etc and that's where a lot of the bacteria can be picked up from. It's a shame because H would like to experience proper local cuisine but I just wouldn't be able to eat anything. We are both extremely anal with baterical hand gel, no ice, no tap water even for brushing teeth so do go out of our way to limit being ill and have been lucky so far.

For anyone wanting to go to sharm I say go for it. It is a love it or hate it place so depends on what you'd like to do on holiday but for us the snorkelling wins each time we book a holiday. x
