Honeymoon help

answerbacklou, 27 March, 2012 at 16:01 Posted on Honeymoons & Getting Married Abroad 0 8

I wonder if any of you can help.

I have been looking at honeymoon destinations and have no idea where to go. Due to H2Bs work we have to go in the fist two weeks in August, i have been looking in a couple of brochures and this seems to be the wet season for all the Caribbean islands. We want somewhere where we can relax, have a bit of luxury and go on some exciting trips.

So i was wondering if anyone has any suggestion of where we could go or if anyone has been anywhere they would recommend? Also if anyone been to the Caribbean in the wet season how wet is it ?

I haven't a clue where to go so i am open to all ideas

Thank you in advance Smiley smile

Honeymoon destination could be decided by both of you married couples. It is better to discuss with your partner, As finally both of you have to become satisfied. Isn't it ??

We are both deciding but as neither of us have ventured outside of europe we wanted to get some recommendations from other couples as brochures aren't always reliable.

Just ignore the above comment from scroll - it doesn't make much sense but does rhyme with troll!!

Do you have a budget in mind? You may also want to pop over to the off topic or wedding planning forums as I don't think that a lot of people look on here and you will get some more information there.

My experience of areas such as Dominican Republic are that even in the rainy season it tends to be a torrential downpour and then it's clear again, even when it's not the best season it is still lovely and warm.

I love and am used to keeping a distance with those changed things.Only in this way can I know what will not be abandoned by time. Forexample, when you love someone, changes are all around. Then I stepbackward and watching it silently, then I see the true feelings.

In my experience, wet season in the caribbean is very wet! we went to the dominican republic and it rained 11 days out of 14, from about 2 in the afternoon until 7 in the evening, big torrential downpurs. The hotel actually flooded on our last day it was so bad! but the mornings were lovely, red hot!!!

It just so happns as well as a a fellow bride to be im also a travel agent, and were sat discussing honeymoons now haha. You are giong to find it very hit and miss in Caribbean, how about Egypt but it will be scorching, maybe Cape Verde its rather quite however. It would be a great time to go to Mexico. It all really depends on your budget too because you can go further afield and start looking at sri lanka, maldives, thailand, maybe even a cruise???
