How long have you all been with your H2Bs?

well my OH and I have been together for 2 years there beginning of july, and are getting married in just over 10 weeks, so will have known eachother 2 years and 3 months when we tie the knot! Im a great believer in "When you know, you know" and all that!!

We've been together for 5 years. I don't think there is a set period of time that you need to be with eachother! My Mum was with my Dad for 3 months before they got engaged! People can think what they like - you're obviously getting married because you love eachother (unless your future H is paying you so he can come into the country?) I don't think you have to worry about a thing.

We will have been together 5 years in Decemember. Did get engaged a year after we got to gether.

We got together in June 2009, and were engaged by Feb 2010. My parents were very shocked, especially as we hadn't spent a lot of time together as OH had been away for 4 1/2 months of that time.

If it makes you feel better one of my friends got engaged on the first date, got married after 4 months.....and have now been married for 3 years and just had their first baby! Yay them! xxx

H2b and i will have been together 11 and a half years when we get married. But to be honest i never thought we would get married, although we did get engaged after 4 years together. But always knew he was the one i'd grow old with! Am very happy to be getting married now. But not so sure H2b realised how much there would be to do ?

Weve been together 6 1/2 years, engaged for 2 1/2. By the time we get married we would have been together for 8 years. x

OHs dad came home after his first date with OHs mom and told his mom he had met the woman he was going to marry (although he didn't propose for a few months).

They celebrate 20 years together 2 days before our wedding.

By the time we get married we'd have been together 3 and half yrs, 4 in the december.

By the time we get married we will have been 2gether just short of 6 years 2 month but only engaged since christmas, we alway said we didn't want a long engagement so would only get engaged if we knew we could afford to get married.

When we get married we'll have been together 7 years and 10 months, but I don't think there's a right amount of time. Our friends were together around 2 years when they got married, and I'm sure people have been together a lot less time than that. If people say anything negative, ignore it x

We got "Engaged" pretty much straight away about a month! The ring was only £10 from Index (Rememebr them?) He then brought me a more grown up ring a few years later - two years I think it was later - but I knew from the moment I met him, I would marry him. ?

Currently been together for 1 year 9 months. Got engaged at 1 year 2 months and will be married at 2 years 5 months.

People have said to me that we havent been together long, and we're very young, but we'll be 24 and 25 when we get married and I think that when you know you know!! ❤️

People have said to H2B that I'm too young and I should have gone out and "had a life" before settling down (been together since I was 16, him 21) but I have had a life..with H2B! Ill be 24 when we marry, and I just think 2 fingers to anyone who wants to put a dampner on things! I totally agree with you, you do know when it's right x

Got together 28/03/08 got engaged 20/05/10 to be married 02/07/11 but we knew each other for quite awhile beforehand about 3 years but i was engaged to someone else which was not right for 8 years.... got engaged far too young to a nice bloke, but the wrong one for me can't wait to be a MRS

We've been together almost 6 years, got engaged on our 5 year anniversary. My step-dad proposed to my mum after a fortnight (not sure if this was before or after he met me and my sister since they didn't actually get married for another 5 years!)

My other half and I will also have been together for 2 years and 9 months when we get married. We bought a house together after 3 months and got engaged after 9 months. x

I met my h2b properly (we'd been chatting online for a couple of weeks) on the 9th August 2007, I moved in with him in December 2007, engaged in March 2008, and we marry this Saturday. It will be 3 yrs next Monday - the day we jet off on honeymoon

We've been together 1 year 4 months, but I knew from the moment I saw him that he was The One, and he says he felt the same way. Plus he took on my daughter (who has no contact with her real Dad), and seeing how he just accepted her as his own and how much she in turn adores him, I know we could never be apart- we're meant to be a family ? soppy, lol

I've known OH for 3 and a half years, we've been together for three of those - he proposed on our 3 year anniversary and we're planning to get married on our 5 year anniversary (best not to tax his memory with having multiple dates to remember!)

Been together 10 years next month, engaged for 3 months. It wasn't a case of "not knowing", we met fairly young (17 and 18) and it was only in the last year my h2b started feeling ready to think about marriage. We've always known we would spend our lives together, admittedly the last 4 years or so have been tough for me as I was desperate to get engaged, but wouldn't change it for the world now ?

We will have been together for 10 years and one day when we get married and we were engaged after 7 1/2 years! He did get asked for about the last five years when he was going to ask me and then our friends got engaged a year before us so I think he wanted to wait a bit longer.

I have been together with my other half for just over 10 and half years we will be getting on our 12th year aniversary we had our son 3 and half years ago and were going to get married last year but I decided on a new kitchen and car instead I can't wait til we actually get married now as we have spoke about it for about 7 years x

Me and my other half habe been together for 14 years on the 24th of this month and engaged for 13 years on christmas day. We have put ours off so many time because we had our children and money was tight. But my 12 year old was asking all the time when we were getting married so have decided to take the plunge next year. (better late than never).

Me and h2b have been together almost 4 years, although we met on holiday just over 6 years ago. He lived in lanzarote and we met when i went on holiday, when he came home (to glasgow) i was with someone else but as soon as i split up with him me and robert met back up and have been together ever since

When we get married we'l have been together nearly 5 years. We moved in together after 7 months, i was pregnant 14 months after we met and we got engaged after 2 years 2 months! I've never felt like we rushed it, we got together when i was 18 and robert was 23 but we've both always felt we've lived and done the whole dating etc.

My sister got married to her husband and they hadnt even been together 2 years. They've been married 6 years now and have 2 gorgeous boys. I agree, When you know you know xx

We met online and were 'friends' for 3 years before we met, talking over the phone and emailing etc. We got together the first time we met and got engaged just before Christmas in Egypt under the stars and when we get married in March will have been together for 6 and a half years

We have been together for over 12 years now. Met him just before my 17th birthday.

A 9 year engagment and 3 kids from 8 to 1 years old. Two major moves, Midlands to Derbyshire, High peak to Isle of Lewis, Scotland. All a little backwards i know. But we got there in the end, well almost there...lol

We did everything backwards. Had a baby, then bought a house. Now we're getting married!

OH and I got together in April 2005 but we had known each other and been friends for about 8 months before that. I was with someone for 11 years before OH, and was engaged to him, but I knew deep down that I didnt want to marry him - getting married to OH after 5 years seems completely right in comparison! It doesn matter that we havent been together as long.
