How Much Did You Spend On Your Wedding Day Shoes?

Rizzo, 31 May, 2011 at 10:00 Posted on Planning 0 44

I was just wondering, after reading a comment about the price of wedding day shoes on here, what the average amount was.

Mine were £65.

Mine will probably be the same (or less) but I would make sure that they could be dyed so I would get some use out of them

Mine were £300 but worth every penny. I'm aiming to dye them black at some point so I can wear them again.

I had two pairs - first were an ivory suede pair from Rachel Simpson at £95 (reduced from £160) and the second pair were a turquoise blue pair from Ravel for £65.

I will wear both pairs again.

£30. And then I customised them a bit with some fabric I cut off my wedding dress.

    99 pence, from Ebay.

I'm not really into shoes, so was glad to get these. They are ivory and I cannot think I will have any need for them in the future.

I might put them back on ebay, to see if I can manage to turn in profit!

Mine cost £155.00 - Benjamin Adams 'Hathaway'. I had real problems trying to find shoes so the cost became irrelevant at the end - as long as they ticked all my boxes!

I also got the iregular choice mini magic floral in white & silver incase my feet are sore in the evening - but if i dont wear them I can return them to shoe for a refund as they do returns 365 days of the year.

£11 from Debenhams, in the sale.

I will probably only wear them the once, they'll probably get ruined by grass stains when taking photos outside, and they are damn comfy, much more so than the original ones I wanted which were £60.

MIne were £55 (reduced from £200) but I may have to find an alternative as they are very high and will probably cripple me ☹️

Canterbury r u going for the lace one out of river island? I think they are lovely but a bit high for me as i'd never get a dress to hit the floor and i'd get sore feet within a few hours. They r stunning though!

Well, shoesw have been a bit of a vexed question for me!

First Pair £35 in the sale - hurt like hell, and I hate tham, but couldn't send them back as they were "end of line"

Second pair - £59, from rainbow club. lovely to look at, but hurt like hell as they are hard and a smidge too small. am wearing them though, as foolishly hadn't worn them for very long before first dress fitting, and ony realised they made my toes go numb the day of the fitting. Dress has no been chopped to match, so there's no going back!

third and final pair - a pair of soft white pumps from M&S, £20. will change into them as soon as practicable after the photos have been taken, in order to avoid pain and blisters.

Am hoping that adrenaline will carry me through the shoe torture...

Mine were £150 - Shades Ivory silk 3 inch heels hand embroidered with crystals from the tip all the way down to the heel and all around. They are gorgeous! I cannot wait to wear them again for my dress fitting!

Also, afterwards, Shades dye them any colour for you for £25.

Started out with a pair of 10quid silver ballet pumps, then realised they did not look elegant enough with the dress and was lucky to find a very wide pair (for my mahooosive feet) of ivory mini mini kitten heels for just £25! I did not want to spend too much as I reckon they will be destroyed by the end of the day!

I'm currently on my second pair.

First pair were £59, second pair were in the sale at £25.

I'm bound to go through a few more pairs before I finally settle on some.

(luckily OH is fine with this, and totally indulges my shoe addiction)

Mine were £250 (see my avatar), but worth every penny if you ask me. I got my dress for a very good price, so I had more to spend on shoes. I'm a shoe fiend, though, and will definitely wear them again.

I'm not sure exactly how much mine were but they were a pair of Jimmy Choo 'Syria's'. They were very comfy. I tend to wear shoes like that (albeit not in that colour!) for work so having something I knew would be elegant and comfy for my wedding day was an obvious choice.
