How often do you treat yourself?

I've just been to take some clothes back and ended up buying a watch, an eyeshadow palette and some perfume. None of it was expensive stuff (spent £30 in total!) but feel like I've had a real treat. Makes me feel happy. How often do you give yourself little treats and what kinds of things do you...

How often do you give yourself little treats and what kinds of things do you spend your spare cash on? I'm talking mainly to the fellow skinto's out there!

Edit with flash of the watch

My H doesn't buy as often as me, but when he does it's usually on stuff which costs more. He's eyeing up a £850 fishing rod ? That IS NOT a treat, that's a months rent...

No. Men don't need stuff like women do.

At the moment every week! As I've quit smoking (a month at the weekend whoop!), so using it as an incentive to carry on. Lets just hope I don't get addicted to buying things on a weekly basis, as that would undoubtedly be far worse for the bank account than smoking ?

Normally though, probably once every month or two. Although it never really feels like a treat as I somehow manage to convince myself that I need what it is I buy. I don't really splash out on expensive stuff though, even as a treat!

I would say I treat myself daily - normally in tiny ways like making time for myself to have a bath, face mask and book. I don't spend that much on myself - I just buy nice bits that I know I will use when I see them on offer. I get my hair cut every 4-6 weeks but thats only £20 and I colour my hair myself at home.

When they are very young yes, but thats when you need to make the most of the 5 mins peace you might get and do something for you!

Mr R treats himself pretty much whenever he wants - we earn the same amount but his outgoings are less than mine so he has more spare cash. His treats are his personal trainer sessions and his drum lessons, and he also buys meals/clothes/nights out whenever he wants. I would never suggest to him that he cut back his treat spending, but at the same time it's hard not to strangle him while when he says he can't yet afford an engagement ring...
