I dare you to confess.....

(Claire), 30 October, 2012 at 12:02 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 241

Something you have done/not done that is shameful.

So me..... H and I never sent thank you cards out after we got married..... ? I have no excuse, we just never got round to it.

Your turn!

In the early days of our relationship...my husband got a message from his mother whilst we were on holiday. She was checking he had used his inhaler/not taken ibuprofen due to allergies etc. I deleted it so he didn't see it. He still doesn't know I did that. I am ashamed.

Only a little bit Smiley winking

Yours isn't so bad, I forgot a few people when we sent out cards...I fixed things though Smiley smile

I never told H (on advice from fellow Hitchers!) that the heartfelt thank you message that his brother wrote in his "thanks for being an usher" card last year, which made him cry, was actually written as a joke by another usher.

I remember this Knees. It's not shameful on your part though you were simply protecting your H and I would have done the same.

Kharv - His mother had told him before we went away, and with me there so I knew about it that he couldn't take brufen because of allergies. I knew the implications and in actual fact, as my husband told me at the time, his allegy had worn off. He has been taking brufen if he needs to since then and that was 10 years ago. His mum wasn't happy about us going on holiday together, I suspect she wanted to rock the boat but I may be wrong. Things haven't changed since really...but I am a bit more adult about her interference these days.

This is awful and makes me look like a total loony.... During a particularly rough patch, during which time I was very insecure and jealous, I deleted an email to H from his ex-girlfriend inviting him out to dinner next time she was in town ?. There's a lot of history as to why I was (and in many ways still am!) so very uncomfortable about her, but I can't even begin to excuse deleting his email, or having read it in the first place!

I went thru my H's Facebook and found a message from a girl he knew from school. The long and short of it was that he had bumped into her somewhere and they had exchanged fb messages, we were only sort of seeing each other at this point and I only found them about a year ago (we've been together 5 years now) any who I got jealous and deleted the message and then went thru and deleted her.

    Never told him.

He has an ex on his Facebook from when he was about 18, only became fb friends with her recently. I am fighting the urge to delete her.

    im a terrible person.

    I can understand this ?

H and I broke up briefly after we'd been together about a year, and he went out with someone else for a week or two, then we got back together within the month. He stayed friends with her and I couldn't bear it, but they were part of the same friendship group and I felt I couldn't just say "stop seeing her" as then he'd have no friends at all at uni. So... I sent him an anonymous Valentine's card, and denied it was me and planted the seed that it could be her and that maybe she hadn't gotten over him. After that they totally stopped being friends, he deleted her off Facebook etc. I've never told him it was actually me. Immature I know, but I was a teenager...

I noticed one we didn't do the other day but I don't know their address and would have to ask MIL which I don't want to do after 3 months!

Years ago my first long term BF and I split up after 3 years and he got together with his mates little sister within a few weeks.

I sent him an anonymous letter, pretending to be one of my BFF's declaring my undying love for him but said that I was unable to tell him so whilst he was still with me and told him to meet me at a local hotel one evening and 'bring his toothbrush'.

My work colleague and I then drove to the hotel in her car and parked up outside to see if he turned up.

Lo and behold he did, and although he obviously never cheated on his girlfriend as there was no one there to meet him, I was very smug in the knowledge that he was quite happy to !

They are actually still together, and now have 4 children, and I am often told by mutual friends that she cheats on him on a very regular basis so seems karma is a b*tch after all !

    An un-confession...

My parents once said to me, "You've cut your own fringe!" I must have been about 6. I hadn't been near my fringe, but they insisted, and it peed me off so much that after that I DID go and cut it, which made sense at the time. Mum had to take me to the hairdressers the next day to try and fix it.

To this day they believe I cut it twice, I know for a fact I only did it once!

Me and OH shower together a couple of times a week. No sexy time, just nice to have a chat. Occasionally I have done a wee while he is in there. It goes on his feet. He does not know. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

I just can't help it with running water. Have convinced myself it is good for his feet, they are hard and dry after working in boots gardening. The wee softens them :-)

It's not really that shameful but, around special occasions (birthday's, Christmas and the such) I go through H's emails so I can see what he's bought me. (he buys most of it online)

I knew he'd bought me a Pandora charm for our wedding, but I had to act surprised when I opened it, haha.

Haha oh i have good one..i was 'dating' this guy once, and we'd been out for a chinese, and drank lots of wine. It was the first time i was staying at his so wanted to impress with my skills...anyway lots of antics later we fel asleep.

I woke up in the midst of the night and assumed he was in the bog. I needed to be sick, bad, and couldnt find the bin. so lifted up the big rug next to the bed, threw up underneath it, then gently placed the rug back down on it.

Suitably impressed with myself in the morning when i even remembered not to stand on that part of the rug!
