    • A regular excercise programme, so that I can get fitter (and hopefully loose some weight) - this links nicely in with doing the Moonwalk.
    • Moving out of our rented flat into somewhere of our own
    • A place on a further education course. Even if I don't start it in 2009, I'd at least like it confirmed.

A new job for me as soon as possible as

    a) we will struggle if I don't get something at a decent salary level soon and

    b) we will have to cancel our holiday in March

I'd like to meet a new man who ticks most, if not all, of my 'shopping list' and get a new car. Not really much to ask is it?

Financial stability for those affected by the current crisis

that me and H hang on to our jobs

that my family remain happy and healthy

that my older son stops poking his baby brother in the eye/head etc

that I can lose some weight and go back to work a size 16 (still big I know but an improvement for me)

that I can get to fit in some exercise

that my best friend who had been DTC for 5 years has a lovely healthy baby in July

that my older son is toilet trained ?

sticky BFPs for all the DTCers on BT.

    For me and the family:

    • To finally pay off all our credit cards, and hopefully make a start on our other loans, so that maybe some time in 2010 or 2011 we'll be able to live somewhere that's ours, and be able to afford to have kids sometime before we're middle aged.
    • In order for the above, for OH to have regular work: please let the recession not stop people wanting jazz bands and a saxophone teacher!
    • To get a place on the training scheme for obs & gynae: competition ratio is 7:1 (7 applicants for every job) and the hours will be silly & antisocial for the rest of my life, but it's what I love, and I don't really have a back up plan.
    • For youngest brother's health to stabilise and if he goes ahead with the neurosurgery for it to be successful and for him to recover fully. Ideally the end of 2009 would see him totally fit-free.
    • For my remaining two grandparents to recover from their respective bereavements and make new and fulfilling lives on their own.
    • Losing that pesky last stone would be good but it's not make or break.

    For the world:

    • Some world leaders & African leaders to make a stand against Mugabe
    • At least a temporary ceasefire in Gaza
    • Job losses to be kept to a minimum
    • Peace and stability wherever there is turbulence and upheaval.

    • For my H to find a new publisher for his games which will give us stability for the forseeable future.
    • For my daughter to remain as happy and healthy as she is now
    • To achieve another pregnany and for this one to result in a baby
    • For my sister and her husband to emigrate as they are so desperate to do
    • For my family to remain healthy

    • H's op to go smoothly and early next year
    • My new job to go well
    • Some quiet stability to our lives
    • Nothing else to go wrong with our house
    • Alan cat to be happy again
    • Jam cat to come home (wishful thinking now I think)

Generally, just for everyone to have a quiet and peaceful 2009 - for me, as it seems many on here it has been filled with highs, and some of the lowest lows I could imagine. Nothing to happen would be best right now.
