I'm going to save this thread once everyone has posted and keep it for this time next year so we can see if any of our hopes have come true...the lottery will be overwhelmed with winning hitchers!!

    • That the Uni of NSW see sense and headhunt H and we can finally emigrate
    • I lose 10lbs over the next four months in time for my birthday
    • Carry on at the gym (don't lose hope and give up!) and get the body I'm dreaming of
    • Get an opportunity to travel abroad with H more rather than staying home alone

I would like 2009 to bring:

    1) A decent new job for H - he's finding it so hard to get even an interview at the moment.

    2) A nice place for us all to live that isn't above a pub inhabited by the evil inlaws.

    3) For the whole niece situation to be resolved somehow, because she doesn't want to move with us and we can't make her, but there's not really anywhere else for her to go.

    4) For my mum to get a bit healthier, and for the rest of my family to have good health.

    5) For me to lose a bit of weight, after thryroid problems bringing everything to a depressing standstill. I go in a circle of losing a few pounds and regaining them all over again. I am the Groundhog hog.

I hope 2009 brings for me

    • A lovely new part time and well paid job to take me off the unemployed bench
    • A successful pregnancy later in the year
    • For us to be able to save some money
    • For H to get a great job closer to home so he can spend more time with G in particular

A baby, I am happy to forgo anything else nice if I can just have that. I would also like to request one for my fellow DTCers.

But, if it is not to be, a holiday, a nice part-time job for me and to keep on losing weight would be okay.

    Health, happiness, stability and clarity!

Or at least a positive start to primary school life for No1 child in September and a solution to FIL's ongoing health problems.
