I need a costume for my sons book day!

mel t 2b, 30 April, 2012 at 10:48 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

Help! Any ideas for a mum with little time to make a costume of a character from a book and without spending too much money! My son can't decide and I haven't a clue! Don't want anything well known like Harry Potter but need something that people will know what he is! I have racked my brains ahhhh! I hate these school things! My son is 7.

    I'm a terrible mother.

I found out about my son and daughters book day 2 days before and i had nothing.

I sent my son as a Harry Potty in muggle clothes (jeans and shirt like he wore under the stairs) and just did some very convincing face makeup for his famous Z scar.

My daughter went in her best dress and bows in her hair and i made a "Golden Ticket" from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and strung it around her neck like a necklace with more ribbon. She went as Veruca Salt.

The teachers were impressed, which i was amazed about.

Charlie from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a good one requiring minimal effort.
