If you were in an eating competition, what would you eat?

Knownowt, 17 October, 2008 at 12:27 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 64

I'd choose fishfingers. I reckon I could do 50.

What could you eat an inordinately large quantity of, and how many could you do?

I think I could eat in excess of 20 packets of pickled onion monster munch. Or wotsits. (provided there was necessary water/ irn bru to wash it down, otherwise it becomes a bit like a cream cracker comp, yeuch).

Or sausage rolls. Would have to be either Greggs or the shops in the stations (Cornwall Pasty Co, I think).

I reckon I could eat about 10 easily.

Actually, thinking about it, it would have to be something you don't mind being put off for life. So not wine gums, mussels or oysters ?

I'll do banaanas. I'll only be able to eat a tiuny bite before I'm sick, mind. ?

I suspect I thought I actually was having one of these competitions the other night. Whilst watching the Sex and the City film, I ate an entire packet of Maryland cookies, some of which I put in my mouth whole.

Impressive or gross... you decide ?

Meat, any type - sausages or steak would be most preferable!

Better than someone I know who has a facebook grup for the McNugget challenge. I'm trying to find the numbers but I think it was well over 50 <vom>

Hmm - am just starting on my third packet of fruit gums, so I'd best change from peanut m&ms to fruit gums. Would need to stop after a while though, a pause to clear my teeth.

Custard creams (so long as there's an unlimited supply of tea to accompany them), maltesers - I have yet to find my limit with these - trust me I've tried ? and <obscure> mushrooms ? either raw or cooked, I don't mind - I have been known to eat them raw from the box without washing them ? ?

Rice - I refuse to believe that any quantity could put me off. I reckon I could do a kilo, especially if provided in different forms. Also another contestant for the oyster-eating competition.

    Damn. Now I'm hungry again!

Crisps, without a doubt. I've been known to munch my way through a 6 / 12 or 24 multipack. I can eat pack after pack so don't buy them anymore otherwise I'd have to be rolled down the street.

Salt and vinegar Kettle Chips ?

    White bread with Lurpack

Alternated with spoonfuls of B&J Phish Food

And I'm with whoever said raw mushrooms, I regularly get through half the pack before they reach the frying pan!
