I'm giving most of you two days off

Chicken, 12 June, 2009 at 09:25 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 26

Hoorah for me. How are you going to spend these two free days?

I am going to go home this evening (do not pass the pub do not spend £200) and catch up on the sleep Bob Crow has deprived me of this week. Tomorrow I shall BMF first thing. Trying to work out if I can go shopping afterwards in sweaty kit. I think it's a no. ? Tomorrow evening I am going to a surprise dinner (shhhh!) and Sunday I am praying for sunshine as I have nothing to do but sit and read.

Tonight I am going for a run, making low fat toad in the hole and trying to recover from my hangover. Tomorrow a big group of us are supposed to be having a picnic with friends who are over from Canada but the weather looks rubbish so who knows where we'll end up. Sunday, long bike ride I think and try not to get too nervous about Monday's interview.

    Yay thanks Chicken!

I will be going out for a meal in a lovely country pub tonight. BBQ tomorrow night but during the day im visiting a jeweller who is designing a ring for me, so I need to go and approve it. Sunday hopefully going to see the Banksy exhibition in Bristol (must check if its open on Sun, if not, swap jeweller with Banksy).

Yay and woo! When will my 2-day free babysitter arrive, please?

What I would like to do this weekend: sit in a beer garden all day tomorrow then go shopping on Sunday

What I will probably do this weekend: attempt to amuse grotty, under-the-weather child all weekend. Drink gin when child is in bed

Tonight I'm going to see the hangover. Very appropriate for me today. Ouch. Any sympathy going spare?

The rest of the weekend I'm at Queens so fingers crossed for Murray getting through today's game. What does one wear to the tennis?

I'm going to be skiving off very early this afternon (Ok lunch time) heading to heathrow to pick up boyf and then we're heading to Bath for the weekend. Will therefore be eating and drinking way too much fine food and drink (went for Aqua as restaurant no.2 as onefishtwofish seemed a bit hit or miss) and hopefully will avoid being rained on. Not too sure what we're going to do in the days but there seems to be a few museums / galleries to take a look at. I may try and drag boyf round a few shops as need a dress for a wedding in a few weeks. Perhaps if he thinks he's on a promise...!

I do want to go to Wookey hole on Sunday as can remember going there as a kid and it beeing rather cheesy fun. We'll see if I can drag myself away from Bath.

    Diet will start Monday.

Tonight I am going for a run, then meeting lovely friends for cocktails and dinner. Tomorrow I am off to the Marlow Town regatta to get plastered on Pimms and probably rained on, while loml stays home and plays poker and cooks a very late dinner for when I get home.

Sunday will be hangover, long run, swans and laundry. Oh, and making a tarte au chocolat for my sister's welcome dinner on Tues ?

I am going to knackered on Monday!

Working late tonight, then tomorrow will be at a street festival - part of London Jewellery Week - as H is curating it, and our new, extremely disorganised wee choir are making our first public appearance there. Eek.

Sunday will be swimming, housework and chilling.

Tonight am off to the War of the Worlds stage musical thing with H, and tomorrow am having lunch with mum and gran, then going for a back massage later in the afternoon. Sunday will probably be a nice lie-in, a bit of gardening if its nice and then making a lovely dinner.

I've just checked, and you've given me four days off, on the proviso i do a night shift tonight. jolly sporting of you ?

saturday, if i get my arse out of bed on time, i will be doing archery in the afternoon. in the evening i will be insisting on a curry or pizza

sunday, i will be up at anti social o'clock to go for a blood test. then i think we may go to harewood house (if the weather is good) or the deep (if its bad)

monday, i will be largely looking at the clock and worrying myself sick

    tuesday, who knows?

Sadly your powers don't extend to my shifts, so I shall be working on Sunday

Meeting a friend for coffee in an hour, then out for a run tonight and probably a DVD

Tomorrow I shall be cleaning, then off to a big work's leaving bash at Camberley Rugby Club, so Sunday I will be sitting quietly in the office probably nursing a bit of a hangover and trying to finish a presentation for a conference in Athens and the departmental communications strategy

My weekend consists of emptying the attic of 10 years worth of clutter and trying to sort it out and pack it up ready to go in storage for when our house sale eventually completes.

In between trying to keep my 2.5 year old entertained so probably out walking with the dog and jumping in some muddy puddles

    Enjoy your weekends everyone

    Happy Friday all. ?

I've spent all bloody day making and decorating a cake for H's 30th, which is on Sunday but he's getting tomorrow.

Tomorrow, we're having a BBQ with yummy BBQ food, a fruit tart and cake.

Sunday, we're going to the Gallery showing of Angels and Demons at the new Odeon (where you help yourself to drinks, sweets and popcorn ?) then off to Thornton Hall for dinner and a night there.

Monday, not sure what yet. Maybe a National Trust property or something.

    Woooo! Weekend!

In about half an hour me and the OH are going off for a bike ride down the canal, then starting series 5 of The Wire which arrived yesterday. Tomorrow, cleaning then out wool shopping and to a bonkers knitting in public picnic event in the park, and a quiet night with the OH. Then Sunday, going into town to the travel agents to look at flights to Australia - woooooo! - and maybe some lunch out somewhere.

Kieren, I'll have all fingers and toes crossed for you.

I'm now three weeks into a five week stint of single parenting while MrF is working in Oz so this weekend is more of the same - juggling childcare and work (teaching yoga all afternoon tomorrow), trying to entertain grouchy teething toddler, drinking wine once she's asleep and eating toast as that's all I have the energy to make. oh, and collapsing into bed by 9pm every night.

    fun fun fun.
