K's birthday suprise already. Her bday isn't until October ?

Got a bargain Travelodge in Covent Garden (not bothered about the room as only in it for sleeping) for £29.00.

So now I need your help on recommendations for a show. Not too girly (so Legally Blonde is most definitely out) and Blood Brothers doesnt appear to have a show on a Sunday - poo bums. Other than that im a theatre novice as i walked out when i went to see Les Mis so dont want to get it wrong this time ?.

Ooh I would like to see The Lion King! I have only seen Dirty Dancing and that was ace, I've heard Woman in Black is meant to be really good at the theatre too.

Don't understand the fuss over Wicked!! Thee worst musical I've ever seen!

Not seen Lion King - but heard great things about it and Billy Elliot. Blood Brothers is my all time favourite though, shame you can't get to it.

What about Jersey Boys, it's supposed to be great too, if you are into that type of music?!

Vik, I've seen The Lion King 3 times and highly recommend it. It's well worth the ticket prices!

I LOVE Wicked, but didn't love Blood brothers - stop singing the same song twenty times! Each to their own.

    There's always Shrek...!

Does it have to be a musical? Stomp was amazing.

Or We Will Rock You, if you like Queen!

Shrek the Musical! It's on at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane. Not sure if it's still running 'til October, but if it is then it looks amazing.

I loved the soundtrack that my mom had on CD and thought i would enjoy the theatre production, but i didnt. It was all a bit too much for me. I was only 20 at the time and didnt appreciate it. I probably would now, but dont want to chance it. ?

Id love to see Dirty Dancing and Grease, etc, but it really isnt K's thing and its her birthday so i suppose i should try and find out what she likes discretely before booking. Shrek seems to be a winner at the mo as i know she liked the movie.

Jersey Boys is fabulous! Amazing talent in it. Not many shows do run on Sundays though so you will be limited. I know the Thriller one used to if you like Jacko, but it is a bit cheesy!

I think Shrek also does but not seen it yet!
