Just wanted to say hello properly as i figured im going to use this site a lot.. first confession? ive never been to a wedding... second confession? i'm getting married in november and first and final confession?... ive lost 17 stone in 2 years.
i'm 26 years old from north wales.. i'm 5ft1 and used to be 25 stone and size 32/34 im now 8 and half stone and sze 8/10 depending on material... so i never never thought id get married but here i am and im getting married 10/11/2011. everythings booked , venue and registar decor and dress the lot but as ive never been to a wedding before im hoping to gain tips and ideas and look for stuff im missing out on. im paying for it all as family havent really got the funds to help out.
SO FAR..THE STUFF IVE SORTED IS..
WEDDING DRESS..i ordered it online black and white gown, i did'nt feel comfy going into wedding shops to try on dresses due to having a lot of loose skin on my arms from the weight loss so i ordered it and got my fiances mother to measure me as she used to be a seamstress. im just hoping when it arives it will be ok. (nervous!!).
RINGS... we have opted for plain white gold bands and i have a white gold eternity diamand band as a engagement ring i liked it more then the traditional ERings.
VENUE... kinmel manor hotel in abergele we are having the ceromony there along with the wedding breakfast and an evening bufett and disco.
DECOR /THEME .. black and white with touches of red. unique but still classy..
CAR... black rangerover (i dont like the the posh bentleys ect)
FAVOURS..... scratchcards in sealed black envelopes all numbered on a table where guests can select there own a bit like deal or no deal , im toying with the idea of making a colormatched sign saying favour or no favour.. there will be thankyou scrolls on the tables and bubbles.
LITTLE EXTRAS... thinking of putting little baskets in the toilets with freshen up tolietries and sprays along with little signs saying thankyou for helping making our day special please use these to ensure you feel good for the rest of the night just like we do.
PHOTOGRAPHER......sorted a friend who does professional photography has offered.
ENTERTAINMENT.............CHARICATURIST booked..and a friend performing magic tricks (he does events quite a lot).. for the daytime. and disco/kareoke for the evening... My OH is in a rock/swing band and his band mates and family (musical family) are planning on bringing the band and setting up so at some point there will be a band playing too.
thats it at the momment.
as ive said i never have been to the wedding. i have around another 1500 in the budget so is there anything ive missed or any must haves or extras that would be nice?..
