Is anyone already thinking of what to do for their 1st anniversary...?

GeordieBarbie, 19 January, 2011 at 12:53 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 8

I had wanted to go on holiday but that's now out the window,..

Feel like i've got so many ideas I just don't know what to do.

We were thinking of going back to Bristol , stay in the same hotel we stayed in on our wedding night, a wander round the SSGB and then have dinner somewhere.

Then we were thinking of having dinner at the Savoy and maybe staying over - but rooms are quite £££. Then Mr GB decided he would rather go to The Ritz (he took me for my 26th birthday and we've wanted to go back and stay over ever since).

There's also many other places I want to go in London - Benares & Pearl to name a few. Plus I still want to go to the Waterside Inn...

The ideas just keep coming - it's choosing what to do!

What's everyone else got planned...?

Ck, i hope you manage to do *something* nice for your 3rd anniversary!

we went for dinner at the hotel we got married in, which was FAB, and exchanged a few gifts. H bought me us himself tickets for arsenal v celtic (his excuse: they were paper - as all 1st wedding anniversary presents should be) so we spent our 1st wedding anniversary at the emirates. great. ?

he totally redeemed himself by buying me a 1st edition of to kill a mockingbird - my fave book.

It was nice, and relaxing rained some of it but it was away from home and the things you say you wont do but do

I had thought we might go somewhere nice and sunny for a week (cheap last minute deal type thing) as the tickets would be paper but the building work we were having done turned out to be a lot more expensive than we had anticipated so that didn't pan out. Then we planned to go out for dinner but the snow put paid to that. We ended up just having a nice quiet night in with a takeaway, which, boring old farts that we are, is actually one of our favourite things to do and it was lovely.
