Is anyone having or has a Multi Coloured wedding?

Princess_Dimples, 27 January, 2011 at 17:05 Posted on Planning 0 15

I'm having a summer wedding, and we really like Pale Turquoise, but I also like other pastel colours, so I thought why not have them all.

We're also thinking of a Summer Fete/Countryside theme. So gingham table clothes, Flowers on table, bunting etc

If anyone can offer any advice or suggestions with pics that would be great!

I can't offer any advice for you Chelle, but i've seen this colour theme a couple of times recently and always think it looks really pretty!!

There plenty of pastel gingham bunting on cottonbunting.co.uk, but it's worth trying ebay coz it's loads cheaper!!

I was tempted to have multiple colours when I was first planning but decided against it in the end (more H2B's decision than mine!!!)

These were some of my inspiration pictures - I wanted all the bridesmaids in different colours but ended up with only one so that wouldn't have worked either!!!

We're not, but I *love* all the pastel colours together... Excuse the crap pic, but its a photo of a photo in my scrapbook! I'd love to have something like this, but it just doesn't really fit with anything else we want and those colours don't complement my BMs skin colouring. Would love to see someone else go with this scheme though ?

Lillibet I have that pic in my scrapbook too! Also dont think I can quite make it tie in with my colours but wish I could. I think all pastels will look gorgeous. If I had more bridesmaids I'd go for the mixed colour look for their dresses too x

It would look nice I think. I was going to have my BM's in 4 diffirent color dresses with co-ordinating sashes but changed my mind as the planning progressed.

We're having a country theme wedding with two main colours but as they have proved to be very difficult to match anything to, all other pastel colours (except yellow) have come into play. Stationery is all different pastel colours in the country/vintage/gingham theme, bunting is pink and blue florals and table centre pieces will be hand picked flowers of all different colours on a swatch of floral fabric.

I am having nightmares now about how it won't all sit together nicely though and worry it is just going to be a mish mash. But as long as it is bright and colourful and summery that'll be fine :-S

I am having a multi coloured wedding, but bright colours not pastels, and our only flowers are gerberas.

I have 5 BMs and they are all wearing the same dress in one each of fuschia, an emerald green, bright royal blue, orange and cadburys purple and they are all carrying yellow flowers.

H2B and his children and best man are wearing yellow cravats and buttonholes and then our 4 ushers and my uncle who is giving me away are wearing a cravat and buttonhole to match each of the BM's.

At the reception we are having 12 tables, so they all will be decorated in one of each of the 6 colours, so 2 tables of each colour, with co-ordinating chair sashes and the chairs will be randomly placed at the ceremony.

We are having a cupcake tower and each will have a wrapper in one of the 6 colours with a co-ordinating daisy on top.

All our invites are the same but have been made in all of the different colours

I have days where I am really excited about it and then days where I think it will look a mess but I am sure we will love it on the day !!

I've seen an "All colour" theme before - it looked awesome.

    She went for:

Pink, Red, Oragne, Yellow, Turquire, Green, and Purple. She had a different colour for each table and the chair covers for each table one of the above colours. She had all the colours in her boquet (Gerbra's) and each bridesmaid wore a different colour. The theme went through the cake and she threaded tiny ribbons of all the colours through her stationery.

Don't want to post her wedding pics on here without permission but it sounded awful when she told me but looked awesome!

We are having an ocean themed wedding as we are getting married right by the sea, and we are both total sea fanatics! We are having a base colour scheme of yellow and blue but the flowers and table decorations will be flashes of colour as if to simulate the colours of a coral reef….when I see it in my head it looks amazing but when I try and describe it, it sounds a bit crazy!

Some fab ideas here. Sadly I'm only having one BM as I can't afford anymore, so just having OH's daughter!

I will be decorating the room, so got some great ideas now! Thanks

    Kayl,

Your friends colour scheme (and general overall look as well with the flowers) sounds really similar to mine, if you are able to get her permission I would absolutely love to see some pictures ???

That would be great if we could see some pics!

So far on my list of ideas I have...

different coloured pastel gingham table runners for tables,

homemade bunting (made by MIL) for the top table, cake table etc (instead of swagging),

centrepieces will be a mixture of metal pots/watering cans filled with hand picked flowers. I will also use pin wheels as table numbers, and insert them into the flower arrangements!

Favours will be mini jam jars filled with jelly beans (my Favourite), and finished with gingham tops to look like jam. They will also have luggage tags attached as name tags.

God it all sounds pretty, just hope it looks good!
