It's beautiful! I don't think there's such a thing as 'too plain' with dresses. Some people don't like dresses with extra detailing on. The simple gowns are very elegant and if that's what you like, then don't be made to feel like it's plain.

It's gorgeous, exactly the sort of thing i wanted but the shape is wrong for me.

You could get some amazing accessories to make it more if you feel plain.

I think its gorgeous and the rouching (sp?) adds that little something needed.

As Gemma Louise said you can accessorize if you feel you want a little something more x

I think it's beautiful, very elegant and understated. Besides, all the ruching and the drapey chiffon means it's not plain, just not sparkley and like everyone else said, with a dress that's not heavily beaded or embroidered you can carry off some serious bling if you want to.

    I love it!

I wonder if the 'ROMANTICA' tag on the side is a little too much, perhaps? ?

It's beautiful. I love the shape of it and it looks lovely on.

As others have said you can really go to town with accessories and won't be limited to certain materials and colours which would have been incorporated into the dress.

If you'd like any advice or ideas please feel free to give me a shout - my website is www.louloubelle.co.uk - I think your dress is screaming for a statement side tiara!

I'm a fan of veils generally so I'd say yes. Given that your dress doesn't have lots of embellishment you could go for a detailed cathedral length one or perhaps something shorter. I have to say I like the length of the one in the photo. It shoes off the rouching, emphasises your figure and will give you some more height on the top if you go for a blush.

Not at all!! Its gorgeous and you look amazing in it!

I am also having a Romantica dress (Zeta) and had the same worry as you, but in reality it was the only dress I got "the feeling" in!!

    Love it!

I think a mantilla veil would look gorgeous with that, and I think the general rule is that if you don't have much detail on your dress, you can get away with more on your veil (and vice-versa).

I really like it, and don't think it's too plain at all - it's the kind of thing I have in mind for when I go dress shopping!

    Hello dress twinny!
I too have this dress and like you, I worried that i thought it too plain and had a few wobbles about it - but pleased to say that they've all disappeared now!

I think that the style and shape of it is so flattering that too much sparkle will detract from the elegance of it. I'm having the neckline altered though to a sweetheart as it suited me a little better.

The dress looks lovely on you - I think that there should be a brooch on the side which will add a bit of sparkle if you wish - my dress is an ex sample sale so the brooch had already gone, but I bought a lovely vintagy style one to go with it and just adds that bit extra - so you could always consider this as a possibility.

I know exactly how you feel, believe me when i saw some other dresses i just felt that mine was too plain - but I'm over that now, as personally, I'm not a sparkly sort of person and felt uncomfortable in some sparkly dresses and big dresses with hoops - they just weren't me. I would rather spend my wedding day feeling comfortable in a dress that fits and flatters me in all the right places!

i've bought my jewelry already and to begin with i thought i wanted something with a bit of bling and sparkle to add something else to the dress - but i realised that sometimes less is more, so have bought a very simple, yet classy small drop necklace and earrings. I bought a brooch and tried it on with the dress and it looks lovely - but even then I nearly changed my mind with that as I though aftewards that it was too much!! I'm so indecisive!!!

i'm not having a veil - but only because that was my personal preference. I see that you have gorgeous long hair - have you thought about having it up and the veil clipped into it? one of the girls on here recently showed a flash of her hair up like that and it looked amazing.

I'm keeping mine as a zip back - but only because I can't afford too many adjustments lol, already having to pay extra to have it taken up, in and neckline changed - but I recall one of the OMs here had a lace up back on the same dress and I have to admit it looked gorgeous.

One word of advice - now you've chosen your dress don't look at any others!

    when's your wedding date?

I think it looks lovely on you but know how you feel. My dress is very plain, some side ruching but no beading or sparkle. I ended up going back to the shop yesterday and trying it on again (but not trying any others) just to be sure. I like the idea of a brooch, it sounds like yours comes with one but mine doesn't so may invest in one nearer the time!

Hiya I do love the dress but I just dont want to disapoint some people who will be expecting me in something else if you know what I mean, but I really love it I went for the wallis dress by romantica at first I even orderd it but i thought it was to much for what I wanted

I was thinking of getting some bling jewelry but I think I like the idea of simple pearls too

I think it would look gorgeous with a sweetheart neckline too. I havent seen it with a laced up back cant wait to see what it will look like Smiley smile

I am having my hair half up half down with curls but I keep changing my mind on everything so it will probs change lol

Iam getting married 21st May 2011 whens yours ?

    xx

    28th aug 2011.

I know what you mean about wondering about what other people will think of the dress, i actually sent my OH a PPT slide of about 20 different dresses and asked him to pick out which ones he liked - including mine..... luckily, he picked about 6 - including the Romantica one. Although I suppose in a way's he's already seen my dress because of me doing this, believe me, he will have totally forgotten what it looks like!

Stick with the Della - it really is a classy style and I think those at your wedding will be thinking how classy and elegant you look rather than you don't have enough bling.

besides, I want a dress twin!

I think it is really beautiful and elegant. I personally prefer dresses that are understated, and as others have said you can dress it up with jewelry x
