It's only bloody Friday

Where did the week go?

Tonight I'm out with a very good mate for dinner - we've known each other since we were 3. Tomorrow having hair dyed (fingers crossed for 'golden brown' please) then choosing bathroom tiles. At 3pm I will be at Loftus Road for the first game of the season (I will happily take green hair if we get 3pts). Then off t'pub with another old mate who I haven't seen since 2006. I may meet the QPR captain. Eeep. Sunday I hope to BMF first thing and will then mostly be cleaning, resting and eating.

Sounds like a lovely weekend Chicken.

Only another hour (and a little bit) at work for me. MrSC is going to cook a lovely celebration meal for tonight's dinner now that the week is over and we can relax properly. Tomorrow night we've got some friends coming round for dinner, the ones that got married a couple of weeks back, so we'll be able to hear all about their honeymoon which will be lovely. We'll probably go out for a ride at some point too - we've got a book of local bike rides so we'll find somewhere pretty to go off and explore. Superb!

And I'm work for 2 weeks - woo hoo! My weekend should be pretty quiet, I think the only thing I have planned is kickboxing on Sunday morning. B we're off camping in the New Forest on Monday, so will be also madly doing the sun dance. ?

Sounds like you've got a busy but fabulous weeked planned Chicken!

At last! Thursday played a trick on me yesterday by going on forever and at one point pretending to be Wednesday.

I am off work sick today with ear infection, hard to work in a call centre when you can't wear a headset or indeed hear. ? I am hoping that the Doctor will give me a miracle cure later this afternoon.

Nothing much planned for the weekend, it's supposed to be lovely. If i feel a bit better we may go for a walk but if not i shall spend most of the weekend trying to find a holiday for the first week in september that suits us and our friends (pretty tricky as they won't commit to a budget)

    No booze until september....

Have lovely weekends everyone ? (that'll be a sour cherry juice in my glass)

Not much planned. LOML is back from Newcastle (hurrah!) for the next few days, but it exhausted so we'll have quite a chilled weekend.

QNI at mine tonight, gym tomorrow morning and maybe something outdoorsy/cultural in the afternoon... Chilling out/laundry/long run on Sunday.

Not much tonight. A run with a friend and then Chinese take away as a reward (?!). Tomorrow I'm going to a wedding reception which I've been looking forward to for ages - they've got a hog roast for the buffet! Sunday travelling home and resting.

Chook, it feels like the football season has been on it's summer break for ages. Mr M is very excited about tomorrow (he's not coming to the wedding with me). He is upset that he's unlikely to be drinking in a beer garden before the game. I don't blame him - watching Palace is so dull it'd be nice to have a ray of sunshine before had. ?

I remember the first game of the season always being roasting hot. Not last season or this one either so it seems. Ah well. My beloved Rangers are back and all is right with the world. It's been yonks.

You still running mate? Well done! I've entered the Brighton marathon - one week before London - do your cheerleading skills extend to the coast?

I need to crack on with a paper I'm writing on one day, so weather will dictate my plans. I'd preferably like tomorrow off, and would spend it eating yummy food cooked by OH; a spot of light knitting and/or crochet; mooching round junk shops and a run. Night times will be spent in the local, with OH and some nice red.

I have a nice weekend planned for once!

Tonight we are taking my mum out for a celebratory meal. She has given up work today as her B&B is doing well enough for her to do it full time. yay! Then tomorrow we are going to look at a narrowboat for sale and will go for a nice long walk along the K&A canal with the dog.

Sunday, we are visiting the inlaws and going out for lunch with friends.

Well apparently the sun is going to shine this weekend, so woo-hoo. And I'm not working any more weekends til October, double woo-hoo ?

Tonight we're going to Hammersmith to see the premiere of an opera a friend of ours has written, hopefully with drinks before with another set of good friends who live nearby.

Tomorrow a nice walk is planned for the morning (assuming the weather holds up), then swimming at the Lido in the afternoon and in the evening we're dinner-ing with my oldest friend and her hubby, who we haven't seen for aaaaaaaaaages. ?

Sunday will be chilled. Lie in, more Lido swimming, maybe another nice walk. (And crappy housework, poo).

All in all a very promising weekend.

First run for 5 months was Wednesday. Went surprsingly OK so going to keep at it while I have the motivation. Been walking loads so I think that's helped a bit with stamina.

Is Brighton a full marathon?! You're hardcore, you are!!! I'm sure a little jaunt to the seaside might be in possible.

That would be the best one. Easiest one to get around as well because you wouldn't be able to enjoy Amsterdam until you'd done it so it'd make you go quicker!

I want to do the London to Amsterdam bike ride. What better excuse to go?!

Will have to wait till next year. Just checked and it starts on 18th September. Considering I don't even have a bike it might be a big ask to be ready by then! ?

I am going to try and get some sleep if my brain lets me, then tomorrow I'm going to get my hair cut and coloured. The rest of the weekend will be taken up by pre holiday nonsense and the inevitable pre holiday arguments.

I've got the day off work today and been to do my friend's friend's wedding makeup, and spent some serious dosh in Karen Millen. I am going to have to take the shoes back as they are killing already and I'm only sat down in them. Damn big feet!!

Rest of the weekend I will mostly be trying to make myself study, eating some curry and cycling in the sunshine, hopefully with the husband.

Ooh what did you buy in the Millen of Kazza, Doughnut? There's a lovely 'Secretary' style skirt in there at the mo that I neeeeeeed, but can't buy it as I think I'd need a 14 ?, so am in denial.

Tonight I've just opened a bottle of wine that isn't mine (whoops), and am supposed to be going to a Led Zeppelin tribute night at a local venue (if this bottle doesn't get the better of me!)

Tomorrow - fark all. Probably will mooch around the shops but I'm not really in the mood for it. Sat night, nothing planned although a friend wants me to do a boot sale with her on Sunday, so I should really sort a ton of crap out to sell.

Sunday arvo Hoobygravy has threatened me with a visitation which will be lovely, and I might even be able to persuade her to extend it to a meal at Malmaison with their fabulous £29 for 2 courses and a bottle of wine between 2 offer (have I raved about this in enough places yet??!) ?

God I wish I didn't like food so much. I want to be smaller and fit into my old clothes ?

Flump, I bought this dress plus the shoes and bag to match although not to actually wear together IYSWIM. The shoes and bag I thought would go well with black skinny jeans and plain black vest. The girl in the shop had the same dress on although she was 10 years younger, six inches shorter and 2 sizes smaller, I bought it anyway ? I might have to wear 10 denier tights with it and a cardi as I'm all arms and legs. Which is the skirt? I found the sizes in there quite small today and I have been laying off the lard ?

I can't wait to drop out of finish this course and have my life back. I get so jealous reading about people's weekends when I have hours of futile studying/ computer programming. I haaaaate it.

Oh Wow. That dress is utterly fabulous, I bet you look stunning in it! I would look uber-matronly in it ?

Please wear the dress, shoes and bag all together ?

This is the skirt I want - nowt special but I felt like making a bit more effort at work instead of wearing jeans all the time. I am also loooving this but fear it's too tailored for my body shape, and my boobs will hang underneath the belt ?

Tell me next time you come to the Ding, I heart shopping!

Mmm nice clothes! and nice weekends planned too-making me very jealous. I am currently on large glass of rose number 2; roll up cigarette number 1 (`gave up` 4 months ago but just found H`s stash of duty free ?). Tomorow, I have to carry on with my masters` dissertation, which has to be in a week today.lord help me.

then my mate is coming down to stay from before moving to the hebrides and getting set alight by lots of pagan nymphs, so more drinks tomorow night. then supposedly doing dissertation again sunday. I hate studying soooooooooooooooooooooooo much.

Donna, I am feeling your Masters pain. I'm giving up and taking the PgCert and running away ?

Flump, I need this one too. The girl in the shop said they only had one left. I looked at it. It was my size. Unfortunately I now have a crap job so have to put it on my store card save up for it. Although I could get it when I take the bag and shoes back. I would secretly love to do MDAL-mother-of-the-bride stylee and wear the matching dress, bag and shoes ? I don't normally shop in the Ding but could make an exception!

Oh gosh that is just as fabulous as the last one you skinny wench ! Do you remember when KM didn't do returns? It was sooooooo annoying, I used to have huge rows with them even when goods were faulty, saying they had to be sent off for "analysis". Gaaaah. So much better now.

    Shoppiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!

As I'm home with my mum, I actually have plans this weekend! ?

Today, I went to see one of my honorary Aunties with my mum, who I haven't seen in a long time today, which was lovely even if I do smell like Fag Ash Lil now. ?

Tonight, I'm watching BB if I can stay awake.

Tomorrow morning, I'm popping round (to the next street, a real novelty!) to see my friend and her children (include my godchild #4 who is 7 weeks old).

Tomorrow afternoon, I'm making pate and painting my toenails

Sunday afternoon, I'm going to the Edinburgh Festival Cavalcade + picnic with my mum, some lovely hitched ladies and their children. I'm SO excited! ?

Sunday night, neighbours are coming in for some vino

    Hooray for fun weekends. ?

Arrrgh I need them both don't I? I keep going through my wardrobe looking for any items worth anything that I can sell to fund these dresses ? I've only just discovered KM so I don't remember the days of arguing with the staff ? I am fairly skinny now but I cycle to and from work every day in the p!ssing rain and hardly ever eat cake!
