What band did you book Jonesy?? We might be band twins too!! ?

Haha! Do you remember when we were shoe twins as well but I ended up getting another pair as they didn't quite match my dress! I'm not stalking you honest! ? ?

We've booked a guy called Andy Campbell and his band.

Ha I do!! I think I'm going to have the same problem with mine but until OH gets his shoes we won't know what the height difference is like. I have some back up shoes just in case, couldn't bear to part with them either way! Your Jimmy's aren't a bad substitute though ?

ETA: We aren't band twins unfortunately! That would have been too weird.

OMG Shhhhh! I'm trying not to think of it! 75 days! I wish! I've got 52! Eep!

All the big stuff is done I suppose, waiting on rings back, confirmation my dress alterations are finished, and designing and printing last bits of stationary etc... finalising catering and all the little details, then it will be on to paying !

I think the thing I haven't managed to get my head around yet and when I think about stresses me, is what actually we need to do in the few days before (especially the day before) and how long it will take. There are so many little things!!

Also, I love all my suppliers, but some of them are soooo slow in getting back in touch. They all seem soooo busy!! I suppose 52 days could easily be another 10 weddings before mine...

ANd we are going on Hmoon right after for a proper beach and sun holiday which I haven't done for donkey's years so thats a whole load more stuff to organise and research!!

    *and breathe...*

Sorry about that - think the stress is building!!

    DM xx

I am so so excited but so nervous i keep thinking of things and hoping i haven't completly forgotten something important.

I still have a fair list of things to do yet and i haven't had a first dress fitting yet either i keep thinking oh i still have 2 months to g but the weeks are going quicker and quicker.

    I still need to:-

    Buy all my venue decorations

    Make my Guest book

order and put together my favours

Get rest of sweets for sweetie table

Go shopping for MOG outfit(Going next Thursday)

Go shopping for MOB shoes and accesories (going this sat)

Go shopping with my BM's for their shoes etc

    Print my Order of services

Buy rest of our thank you gifts

And probably much more i can't remember.

Has anyone else still got as much as me to still organise?

Hey pinky and purpletaff. I'm off to jolly days camping, sounds awful in this cr@p weather but looks lovely. This is the link http://www.jollydaysluxurycamping.co.uk/

We are doing burlesque dancing on the Saturday day followed by a pub meal and some silly games! Can't wait!!

Fridag night we're chilling round the BBQ, or more likely round the wood burner in the yurts!!

    What you up to pinky?

Enjoy Wales purpletaff, make sure you report back!!

I'm June too! I'm excited but stressing majorly. More people than we thought have rsvp'd with yes and we're having to compromise on some of the food. Some of OH's family friends (who I've never met) have rsvp'd yes and added people that weren't invited (one said that they were bringing their daughter, I thought, thats fine as we put that children were welcome, have since found out the daughter is a 20 year old glamour model) and don't quite know how to go about dealing with this! but hey ho! might have to bite the bullet and put my foot down as have calculated that all in, the wedding is costing about £200 per head and don't really want to be asking my dad to spend extra money on people that weren't invited that I don't know.

OH is off on stag do this weekend in Newquay, not sure whether to warn the RNLI or the Police first. Off on my hen do last weekend of this month, still don't know what I'm doing and am getting a bit scared as have since been told I have 'an outfit' and am not allowed to be at home the night before the do.

Got banns certificate from local Bristol church (no one objected, yay!), got 1st Banns being read on 6th May at Oxfordshire church. gradually all coming together. will be a bit happier if a few people changed their minds and decided not to come.

    Hows everyone else getting on?

Sounds like a good laugh Ibiza!! I'm off to Manchester for the weekend cocktail making and chocolate making.

I think I'm quite organised, quite a few faffy bits left to do but that's it. Trying to organise my table plan and other stationary bits, I was going to make it myself but think it will be too much like hard work

For months i've been thinking "i'll do that a bit nearer the time...". And now it *is* a bit nearer the time! We still have to decide on the food (tasting next week), layout/decor for the venue, flowers... and all those "little bits"; chasing up RSVP's, that sort of thing. Oh, and book our honeymoon!!

My hen do is at the end of the month and I don't know what we're doing! I asked my bridesmaids to keep it a secret from me so all i've been told is to be at a certain train station at 09:30 and a few items to pack. Smiley smile

It's all very exciting and very real for us all! x

The places that seem popular with hens are Deeansgate locks and the bird cage. Personally I wouldn't go to Deansgate Locks, as it's a bit chavvy (sp) and for me the birdcage is just pure cheese! Some also go to the Printworks, but again it's a bit chavvy if you ask me.

Mojos, which is just off deansgate near House of Fraser is great for cocktails. It isn't glamorous, but i think the cocktails are worth a visit. I would also recommend going to the Northern Quarter for drinks and dancing, there are loads of bars round here some bigger than others, most with a late licence and all serve great cocktails. There is a bar called Blu which is pretty central and a place called Black Dog Ballroom, which is really cool and my favourite.

If you want somewhere posh, bar 32 is great, it's 32 floors up in the Hilton. Great views over the city and amazing cocktails, but pricey and you have to queue or book a guest list.

Australasia is cool, it's at Spinningfields which is just off Deansgate, it also does food but you probably need to book. There are also lot's of other bars around Spinningfields which all look great but I haven't been in them.

Not really mentioned food yet, but it depends what you fancy. There is a great Thai place called Chaophyra, there is a Teppenyaki (sp) which is good, there is a great gourmet pizza place called Croma. All are really central. If you want anything else then let me know.

Wow that's amazing! I will check all of them out, thanks for your help!! The birdcage really doesn't sound liked cup of tea and a few other people have mentioned some of the places you did too.

I wish I could say that i was excited. In reality I am panicking and on the verge of a nervous breakdown... Also, (TMI) time of the month and I cant seem to leave the chocolate alone...

FIL2B still hasnt been measured for his suit, We havent had 4RSVPs back, we cant get hold of 3 people who havent specified their meal choices and my niece has decided to be a fat baby and her BM dress doesnt fit, I mean, she was so skinny until about a week ago and she decided to have a year-old spread! ?

    Need to do:

Pay for the cake and decide what is going in the tier separator, pay for the DJ and chair covers, seating plan, place settings, centrepieces, card box, hair trial, buy foundation.

    Hi there

I had an amazing hen weekend in Wales, in fact I am now a little bit sad that's it's already over. Had to do it so far in advance due to lots of us having kids and fitting in baby sitters. We all (16 girlies) stayed at a fantastic party house near Newport. We swam, jacuzzied, played snooker, played silly games, used the large bar and cinema room, and that was just the Friday night! Saturday we went to Barry Island for a Gavin and Stacey guided tour followed by fish and chips at the seaside. In the evening we went to a restaurant where, luckily for everyone else we had our own room. By now I was dressed up in various accessories and had a list of dares to carry out! We went to a champagne bar and onto a bar/club where we danced the night away with a load of stags some who were dressed as pirates!

An amazing weekend with a great bunch of friends (and my mum!)

If anyone wants a great party house fr a big group of friends or family I can recommend the place.

We enjoyed ourselves so much we already have a new event on Facebook for another one next year!!

Hi all!! I hit the two month mark yesterday and so now it is one month and something which sounds far too close!!!

Still loads to do, haven't got all rsvps back yet, have FINALLY booked a band today, sorting order of service this weekend, got hair and make up trials to do, final TOG meeting, need to get loads more bits for centrepieces and favours, buy FG dresses, get my underwear and presents for everybody, order table plan, have my final dress fitting (and lose 10 pounds ?) ARGH!! There is not enough time...

I can't believe we're at this point already! My hen weekend is 5.5 weeks and is a complete secret, I have been told what to pack and to be ready for 11am to be picked up - SO excited!

I still can't believe I've only got 6 weeks on Saturday to go! ?

Still feel like we've got loads to do but need to keep reminding myself that it's all manageable!

The main things now are confirming final numbers with the venue, doing my order of service, table plan, name cards and menus, sort flower girl accessories and page boy suit, order petals and make up confetti bags, paint bridal party champagne glasses, assemble and decorate post box, have my hair and make up trial, sort mine and BM's jewellery, gifts, and pay final balances to suppliers.

I'm sure there's more than than but I can't think!

Your hen weekend sounds fab purpletaff! I have mine this weekend in London, can't wait!

Well I'm currently ploughing my way through my to do list...as it stands I have 13 official things to do which will no doubt increase ?

I'm on tenterhooks at the moment too because I called the dress shop and they said my dress should be in late April/early may, I just want to go and try it on and put my mind at rest that a. I still like it b. I can make the little changes to it that I want and c. It fits!!!

We managed to do our table plan which was a bit of mission with certain family politics in oh's family...his mother is going to have her 3 exes there as well as her brand spanking new husband, can you believe it?!

Haha Jonesy when you put it like that the list looks huge!!

OH and I have just spent the morning ploughing through the to-do list that I have as it's our last day off together now until the week of the wedding! We have a long list of things to do but most of them only take a couple of minutes each. Can't believe how fast it's all come around. We just have a few little bits and bobs to do similar to everyone else, just finalised the guest list and music etc.

    Very exciting!!
