    ?

the leeds kleek does still exist, but in a smaller way. it's quite difficult arranging dates to meet that work around my shifts and V&V having baybeh care arrangements that we have abandoned the big dosreally and just tend to meet in chapel allerton for copious gin drinking

    where do you both live?

    ?

H and I moved up from London a week ago. We're in Wakefield with mother at the moment whilst we wait for our new build house to be finished. Should be em-ster's neighbours by Christmas. I'd be interested in meeting up if something was arranged. School holidays at the moment so I could fit in around others most of the time.

    PMSL at ringleader ?

A big meet can always be arranged... we could have one to celebrate Badkitti coming back from Africa?? (not that we need an excuse for gin quaffing)

MiniV is very easily palmed off on MrV nowadays so am free on an evening at long last ?

I grew up in CA so that would be no problem for me

I live in south Leeds though and work in town so can accommodate most venues

Fancy trying to sort a meet before the end of Aug?

I'm happy to try my hand at events management and find a suitable date / venue..............

Well seeing as you're buggering off to Gay Pareeee for my birfday then I'm culling you <sulk>

I think sometime in the last 2 weeks of Aug would be good, Em-ster, do you know any good places other than The Wrens or that bar next to Molestyks that I can never remember the name of?

    Molestyks = Majestyks

Hush now, the Wrens has ample seating and 5 kinds of gin... makes it my kind of place!

Ok - last 2 weeks of August it is then

Seems sensible to plan on doing something in the city centre seeing as people are coming from all different directions

What's the preference for what we do: eat, drink, both? If eating we could grab an early bird offer somewhere I'm sure (Las Iguanas, Tampopo, Bibi's,Pizza Ex, HaHa Bar etc).

Is straight from work good or do people need time to do 'stuff' first of all?

And can we throw in some good days / dates too? Have to say a Wednesday or Thursday would suit me better

Answers on a postcard please ..........?

Please can I vote for last week in August as Mr V is on earlies. Otherwise he doesn't get home to watch the kids until 9ish and I can't be buggered setting off to go out that late.

Not too bothered what day, although Wednesday or Thursday would probably be best as I'll be less stressed!

(It's my 30th first week in Sept so if we go last week in August I can pretend it's my birthday night out then I don't have to bother organising one, how completely sad am I!?)

I can't do the bank holiday weekend. Apart from that, I'm on holiday from work until Sept 7th so you can pretty much organise around other people and I'll just fit in.

I'm difficult to feed. Of the ones em-ster listed I'm fine with the HaHa Bar but can't do Pizza Express (or pizza of any kind - I'm allergic to tomatoes!) Haven't been to the other three. Looking online Las Iguanas might be okay, Tampopo is no good. Bibi's website isn't working, so don't know. Might be easier to just suit yourselves and if I can't eat where you choose, I just won't eat!

Fuji Hiro! Fuji Hiro! Fuji Hiro!!!!

Bibis is a rip off and not that nice, Tampopo I like but shame about the lack of veggie options (my niece is a chef there, perhaps we could sort out a special menu?)

Weds/Thurs both fine with me as long as we're not on an all nighter <old and past it icon>

Never heard of Fuji Hiro. No joy on Google looking for a menu and it's not on Top Table. Does it have a website?

Fuji Hiro for me too! In fact if we're eating there, I'll get my parents to watch the kids so I can come out early enough to eat. Otherwise will wait until H gets home and just come for drinks. We're skint, so eating out is a bit cheeky really, but it'd be worth it if we were Fuji Hiro-ing...

Have to say I don't do well with Japanese food, despite copious attempts so Fuji Hiro is not great for me

Happy with Mel's suggestion of Browns tho and think they do a pre theatre menu too for early eats.

Plus there is good parking (cough!) nearby for those that might need it

If scoffing becomes problematic we can always scrap it for quaffing

Should we firmly pencil in the 26th???????

I have a preference for the 27th...but only 'cos i'm on earlies so if it was the 26th i couldn't drink much as i have to be up for 7, but on the 27th i wouldn't have to work the next day until 12 ?

but it's not a deal breaker

I can do 26th or 27th. Am up for meeting K and V at FHs and meeting you all later too, Browns is a tad pricy from what I remember and I really AM skint at the moment.

Someone decide a definite date and let me know!

Actually just realised 27th is better for me too. H is off work all day that day so I can get out of the house at a reasonable time. On the 26th he finishes at 6, but by the time he gets home and I get ready, I won't be in town until 8ish,

    So I vote 27th.
