Looking for Simple tiara - HIB's welcome to help!

rockclimbingtigger, 2 November, 2008 at 13:05 Posted on Planning 0 11

Hi All!?

I've found my dress and I'm now looking for a tiara to wear with it. All the ones in the shops are too big and glitzy for me, can you ladies help at all? My dress (sorry I'm not sure how to add pictures yet ?) is Addie by Maggie Sottero with a small lace bolero in champagne.

I want something slightly more noticeable than an alice band, but a similar thing (I am so crap at describing things ?)

Think Rachel on strictly last night, or Keira Knightley at the premiere for Atonement. I can't find one at all!!!!

I'm happy to order online from any HIB's if they can help, so feel free to email me off forum if you think you can.

Thanks to anyone that can offer help! I'm all googled out?

Em x

Ooooh classy dress. I can see why you want something quite simple, right choice.

The one Rachel wore last night looked like a 2 row band. I do one of these (Tiara 41) and it could definately be decorated more elaboratly than shown if you wanted to bulk it out a bit.

Alternatively, advising on design, I would be inclined to go for a slight wishbone design which would emulate the detail on the empire line perfectly.

Email me if you'd like to discuss anything *****@*****************.**.**

I didn't see strictly last night, and I don't know what Keira Knightly wore for her premiere either. But I thought I'd give you the link to the site I bought mine from. I wore it like a hairband, but it was designed so that it could be worn either that way, or sitting up more like a tiara

    here's what mine was like:

    Hi Em,

What a lovely dress ❤️. I have a gorgeous double tiara that can be worn as a head band or tiara.

Annalise Double Band This is made with pearls and diamontes but Swarovski crystals can also be used.

If you want to chat about any designs including a bespoke design feel free to email me on ******@**************.**.**. My website is www.lynseysdesigns.co.uk if you want to have a look around and see if any other designs appeal to you. The double band isn't on my website yet but if you want a price just email me.

    Thanks Lynsey x

    Hi there

I'm not sure about Keira or the other one (sorry!) but here's a link to a few of the tiaras that I have on my site that are quite simple.

The handcrafted ones can be adapted to suit so give me a shout if you need any further help ?

    Hello!

I shoudl be able to help you if you would like to have a look at the tiara's below. I've just had a bride wear the first double band & have a picture of her - it looked lovely, just need to upload it!

    https://www.katievaledesigns.com/Tiara/Double.html

I also have this one, which is fairly simple and is only about an inch tall at the highest point:

    Or wishbone:

And I know you said you'd like a little more than just an Alice Band, but thought I'd show you this one too!

Everything is hand-made to order, so I can change the colour of the stones or pearls to suit your requirements. Hope this helps you.

    Thanks

    Katie

    Hi Em,

I may be able to help with this. My website is www.whitefairy.co.uk, and there are quite a few headband style tiaras on there. However, I am also in the process of designing my 2009 range and creating a new website to go with it, so there are a few more that do not yet appear on my site.

I will pm you with some more pics and am happy to chat with you to create something bespoke if you can't see your perfect design!

Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi I also sell the tiara summer solstice was wearing it is the three row headband https://www.3djewellery.co.uk/index_files/simple_bridal_prom_tiaras.htm I would recommend the graduated tiara in gold as it is 3/4 " high and not too much.

    Thanks everyone!?

I've written down all the web addresses, and will be in touch if you can help. I've seen a few nice ideas so when I get my backside into gear, (and spend slightly less time at work), the I'll contact you off forum for quotes and ideas.

Many thanks to all who took the time to reply.?
