making own album story book with pics off CD

#MrsF, 3 October, 2013 at 16:25 Posted on Planning 0 9

I have been looking at photographers recently and was just wondering if anyone had or is going to make their own wedding photo album/story book with the pics that their TOGs taken? If so how are you doing this? I still want one that looks professional. I will probably just pay for a more expensive package that has one included but I wanted to hear what others thought!

We thought about doing this too however when we spoke to our photographer he does a photobook which is only £200 (a lot still but less than these ones costing £500 that I've seen so many of at wedding fairs). We have taken on this option but will be making our own photobooks from the pics of the CD for my parents and ohs parents. We will make these on the tesco photo website. I have made calendars and received a photo book made on their before and the quality is really good, they will just be smaller versions which i think is perfect for our parents as they will just have a selection of the best photos. Hope this helps x

I've used Photobox. They're always doing offers and I managed to get mine for £50 instead of £115 for 100 pages.

It's really simple to use - just upload the pictures you want to use and you can set the layout for each page, so 1,2 or up to 9 photos a page. Then just drag and drop your pictures in. It took me quite a few hours to do but that's because I had over 350 photos to choose from. I used a mixture of guest photos and the professional ones - making sure any that were enlarged were the high res version.

You can go on photobox without registering, upload a couple of photos and have a bit of a play - that's what I did before signing up. (I can give you the password and a link if you want to see how I've done mine)

A few of my brides have done this. Not sure who they used though. Photobox rings a bell for one.

Not married yet, but have used Photobox a few times for other things and recommend them, sign up early and await loads of emails of offers!

This is how Ill be creating our album next year.

(think you have to use a desktop though, so no good if you've only access to an ipad/tablet)

    Hi Mrs F

    Just came across your post..

We produce fantastic quality, professional photobooks. We're the only UK company that produces them for the public (as well as to professional photographers). We have eight sizes of albums, including beautiful little Parent and Pocket Books, and we include an expert design service in the price.

    Hope that helps!

Kind regards. and a happy new year!

    Marc

I used Photobox, quality was really good and I can get reprints whenever I want.

I just designed it all and waited for a special offer.
