Making own invites research, PDA card

Jemima Renrut, 24 July, 2012 at 09:11 Posted on Planning 0 8

So our wedding isnt until next Oct but I've been researching making my own invites, is it worth it cost wise etc? Anyway I've been on the highly recommened PDA card website and its VERY technical... not sure how go about ordering what I want (even though idont know what that is yet) is it best if I have a sample invite that I can copy or something? Looking at pocketfolds...

On the upside the factory shop is in Nottingham about 20 mins from me so was thinking about going for a look round, anyone ever been?

I would suggest ordering the sample book so that you can see the coulour that will suit your invites as what they look like on a computer screen is totatlyl differnt than in real life.

iv ordered my invite bits from there and it is of a high quality for a very good price plus delivery is really quick.

There are so many options that I think it would be worth you getting some inspiration first.

Have a look online and see what style of invitation you like. That should make it a bit easier for you.

I bought pocket fold card blanks from PDA, they were great and really quick delivery, got the 130 by 130 ivory pocketfolds in the popset and 140 by 140 ivory envelopes (for a bit of wiggle room for embellishments and inserts)

I had an idea of what I wanted, then ordered the sample packs and a few different pocketfolds from PDA to play with.

Their customer service is fab, if you get stuck just give them a call or send them an email.

I use them and the quality and delivery time is great. Also as mentioned, their customer service is really great. Have a look and get some ideas for what kind of invite you'd like then I'm sure they would be happy to advise you which of their products you'd need.

I used PDA too. I ordered a few samples first to make sure I got the colour, shape and size right and they were fine.

    I've been!!

We were a little confused when looking online so I emailed them for some advice and when I received the reply I noticed they were in Langley Mill (about 10 minutes away from us) I hadn't noticed the address on the website so off we went. The factory shop is massive, you can see all the different cards and compare colours, textures etc and they have a huge range of embelishments and stuff.

If you are only 20 minutes away, I would highly recommend popping in and having a look. They are very friendly and helpful too.

If your having trouble getting around it I would call them, they are brilliant. I rang them for some advice re colour matching etc and also told them what I was going to do with the card, ie I needed to emboss and they had some great advice. X
