I should have added my one: Picking the chocolates for the favours & sweet trees. I have to really mind myself for when we start to put these together - some may not survive!

For me it was trying on dresses, I'm not normally very girly and live in jeans, but I just loved it, took my mum and eldest daughter and it was so lovely seeing their faces especially when I walked out wearing 'the one' as they both burst into tears! ?

As a couple it has to be seeing my o/h all dressed up in his suit ?

Booking the honeymoon to Barbados, making my own centre pieces and and trying on my wedding dress and veil, made it seem real!.

For me its the dress Im not a girly girl either but felt like a proper bride when i first tried them on....still not found "the one" but going to see a lady next week who has said she can design and make my dress from scratch for less than the one I saw in the shop, so hoping that will be it...Will have to stop myself from looking once I have committed to one otherwise I know I will want to change my mind ?

This is an easy one - cake tasting!! I loved it, must have eaten about 8 cupcakes in one day alone!!!

I loved picking my dress as well, but nothing beats a Saturday spent tasting lots and lots of delicious cake!

Ravioliruby - I agree, I haven't found too much of it particularly enjoyable but the cake tasting was the best day we have had during wedding planning so far, a cup of tea and lots of cake yum yum!

I love going to visit our venue. It's just perfect and completely "us". Being there is probably the only thing that makes it all seem real.

Having my dress, making things for the wedding, putting down deposits etc don't really have the same effect!

I loved it when we booked the venue as it made it all real!

As much I like getting the important parts done and dusted, I love love love finding the small details and scouring shops, eBay and the net for them. Especially when it's something that's been difficult to find. I searched for ages for a vintage suitcase and found one on eBay for a tenner and it has a couple of vintage station stickers on it, one of them from Crewe which is where I'm from! I have also found a lady on eBay who provides 5m of blue lace bunting for just over a fiver and some yellow pearl hearts for scattering.

I haven't started looking for a dress yet but am soon so it may change when that starts!

Finishing the invites! Hahaha! Booking the venue is probably my best bit. Then the dress.

With over 7 months to go at the moment it has been booking the venue as that's where it all started and I love my venue, in the next 7 months I think my favourite part will be recieving all the 'YES' R.S.V.Ps as I will feel people are looking forward to sharing our day with us.

So far it's been getting the rings.

Seeing my OH finally trying his ring on with a huge smile on his face.

Then I tried mine on and he said "suits you, (then in my ear) that means your mine"

The little things that make you feel loved.

Mine will be seeing all my hard work come together when I see the room all set up.

I am looking forward to my dress fitting but am slightly worried as nobody else has seen me in it, I hope I havent made the wrong decision and it looks awful on me!!!

Trying the dresses on! I loved it. Also choosing my tiara

Also agree with Vintage Dreams about finishing the invites... mammoth task!

I agree with pavone- when I am at church or visiting our reception venue I get quite excited as they are the most real things to me if that makes sense?!

I've not done that much yet really apart from scouring the internet for ideas and looking at a few venues - all of which I've loved (especially the free cups of coffee!) I did put in a provisional booking at a venue yesterday and that made it all feel real. From tomorrow I've got a few days off work and I'm heading out with my sister in the morning to try on some dresses and I can't wait for that!

What I call 'fiddly bits'! Finding all the random decorative stuff and trimmings to make the theme come alive! ?

I've come across stuff I didn't even know EXISTED!

Ebony rose you have just made me feel so much better- I thought I was the only one who thought this!! I can't wait to get married to my gorgeous man but all the organising is dullsville, I just want yo click my fingers and for it to be sorted! (I must admit the only bit I have loved is dress shopping though)
