Yep, I remember that bit too!!

I wanted to grab you actually missus, ...im going to steal your thread now! lol! If I remember rightly you are making your own shoes, and they are lovely! I tried on these -

and totally fell in love with them, until the woman told me they are £400!!!!!! So i thought i would make them, Ive got the plain shoes exactly the same which are perfect and am now going to get the other bits, so wanted to pic your brains! what gue did you use, im thinking either a fabric glue, or superglue?

Any sticking on hints or tips would be really appreciated!!

And if it wasnt you and I remembered wrongly then...d'oh! (oh and sorry for stealing your thread! lol!) x

Sorry for jumping in the thread but thought I'd pass on the type of glue I would have used when I wanted to bling my shoes- https://beadsandcrystals.co.uk/accessories-sundries/adhesives-gem-tac/gem-tac-permanent-adhesive/cat_371.html.

Gem tac dries clear which is what you want.

OMG it is here! It's been delivered. I opened it and one of the women at work asked if it was a pillow case!?!?!?!?!?! I was so upset and disappointed. I don't really know what I was expecting but I felt disappointed. So I took it into my freinds office and we got it out properly, the stitching and embroidery is beautiful. I'm going to try it on at lunchtime so will try and post a pic and see if I like it or not.

Anyway... yes that's me :-D I used lots of different glues, and found superglue to be the best. Just be careful not to put too much on because if it goes over the top of the diamonds they don't shine. I brought my diamantes from ebay I think they were £4.00 for a packet (free delivery) and I used 4 packets on each shoe. I can give you the link if you want. The seller is good as she always has them in stock so if you run out you can get the same stones. I think I used 3mm ones. It's very time consuming and makes your eyes go funny- but well worth it in the end. Everyone loves them and they are definitely a talking point.

Oh and also, I used a match stick to pick the stones up, much easier than tweezers. If you need anymore help you know where I am!

Mine has turned out to be a bit of a disaster! The dress wasnt right for me, plus it had a small stain on the back which I thought would be my get out clause to get a full refund on the dress. They said they would refund and I should post the dress back, which cost me £30!!! And now, nothing, disappeared. So not only do I think I have lost the £115 I paid for the dress but the £30 on top to post it, as it would seem at the moment. Im going to contact ebay but its out of there 'time to raise a dispute' in fact, I beleive it was out of that before it even arrived here as it took so long but its worth a try! But I have ordered another dress from a dress shop locally which is amazing and I love it!

Moonpigs shoes look great! Im so impatient I want to see her dress now now now!!

Sorry I have been busy in the disabled loo trying it on ? and I LOVE IT!!!!!!

It's a bit too big and makes me look like a hippo in the pics as its hanging off me, so will have to have it taken in. Also, it sits a bit too high up on my chest so I will have to see if I can have that altered too. But other than that I adore it! Such a bargain. Its a copy of Maggie Sottero's 'Carrie' and I'm so pleased with it.

Am waiting for my friend to email me the pics so will update as soon as I get them. It's such a relief that it's sorted. My nan offered to pay for my dress so didn't want to expect her to fork out over £1000, so £160 is a bargain! I would recommend the company to anyone, they can't be based in China as the dress came on the same bloomin day!Have to check the invoice.

I know I'm waffling on but I'm just so happy. I'll see if I can find a pic of my shoes too.

Yes i tried the original on, but in silver. Didn't get the wow factor, but it was probably the best one I'd tried on. I really didnt expect much from this dress, especially afte rhearing about Moya's.

But I would say definitely go for it, I'll give you the link if you like. It's taken 5 and a half weeks to come so not bad at all, communication was always excellent.

The quality is brilliant, fabric is lovely and all the embroidery is beads and crystals rather than cheap sequins that I had worried about. My colleague has checked out the stitching and says its excellent quality. I honestly can't fault the quality, it's just too big but that can be sorted.

If you think the toilets bad you should see the rest of the office. it's like working in a time warp. I have an olive green metal desk with matching filing cabinets of course ? all from the 70's

Http://www.yourbridalwear.com is where I got it from, I have no idea where they are based. I assumed they were just from China but with the quick delivery I'm not sure. For some strange reason they have cut the senders address off the invoice???

Oh well, at least my dress is good!

Thanks for asking.... I made a complaint about the way she speaks to me to the finance director (her boss) and he said he would discuss it with her at 5pm when i go home. I did see him call her into his office, but don't know what was said as he was on holiday the next day (which he never told me about) and isnt due back until tomorrow. She hasn't said anything else to me though, and has been quite pleasant. Even complimented my dress!

Moonpig your dress is lovely - so glad you are pleased with it. It will be really easy to alter so don't worry about anything like that.

    Well done!!!!

It's lovely, when are you getting it altered have you arranged a seamstress yet? If you look the company up on who.is they are a Chinese company, so that was fast service.

Oooh thanks for that detective work! I thought they were, but their grammar was good on emails (apart from capital letters).

It was a great price and a great service. If I had brought the dress from a shop for £800 I wouldn't be disappointed.

Haven't thought about a seamstress yet... that can be next on my to do list! Hopefully I'll be a bit skinnier on the day!

yeah I think it definitely needs a hoop, it looks rather limp at the moment. Can't wait to try it on properly at home, my cousin (my hairdresser) is coming round tonight to do my first hair trial now that I have my dress ?
