My Wedding Report!!!

Thursday 23rd Sept

My friends from Wales arrived! Was soooooo happy to see them as I hadnt seen them in ages!! P picked up the maariage Licence from the registry office, while I made sure all bags were packed and ready to go to the hotel. Picked my dress up from the dress shop and I started to get very excited. Took our friends into town where I realised I hadnt done the goody bags for the kids! So quick dash round the shops to buy colouring books, pencils, sweets and magic tricks!! I had difficulty finding goody bags which didnt read happy birthday but after the 5th shop managed to locate Toy story ones and disney Princess ones. Phew. Back at mums and the men went to the pub so my dad and our friend S from Wales could explain the do's and don'ts of Married life to my future husband. I drove them to the pub then picked up my friend Gillian, quick stop at the offsales then back to my mums for a few drinks. G and I did the kids goody bags while my mum and Gillian did the mens favours which we totally forgot about. We did a few hours of Just Dance on the Wii (which is very comical when everyones drunk) and then the men returned. We were all drinking some more and having a laugh when we heard mum say from the kitchen "SH*T MY CEILINGS FALLING DOWN" we all assumed she was joking when all of a sudden there was a loud crash and a big cloud of dust! We ran in to check mum was ok and seen a very large gaping hole in her ceiling where the bath had been leaking. Quick tidy up and then the councils emergency team were called. 5am they finally turned up, put a plank of MDF on the ceiling and told Dad they'd need to wait 2 weeks for a repair.

Friday 24th Sept
P took our friend S on a tour of Glasgow and out to Whetherspoons for breakfast. Then off to collect the Kilts. My BM's, Gemma and I went to visit the dress maker who was doing the BM's dresses for a final fitting and to finally see the BM's dresses. This was the day I was dreading as I no longer loved the sample colour I had picked and was terrified I'd made the wrong choice!We got to Christines and she pulled the dresses out of the bag and I was totally gobsmacked! The dresses were gorgeous, she still had some sparkles to stitch on but she had done an amazing job with the dresses and totally surpassed my expectations!! We got the girls into the dresses and I had a little cry at how beautiful they both looked. Quick change and a trip to the forge to get Jewellery to match the dresses then back to my mums. Met P there and we went to pick up the wedding rings. Got to the shop and I was soooooo Pleased to get my sparkly engagement ring backas i'd been without it for 2 weeks while it was being cleaned. The lady serving us over charged P's card, then instead of refunding the difference refund the full amount. She then tried to complete the sale again but as the money was no longer in his account the sale was declined. The owner was lovely she told us to take the rings and she would manually complete the sale on the tuesday any problems she'd give us a ring.Back to my folks where the men played Poker while the woman drank and played just dance. P's phone rang and it was the best man, He was calling to say he couldnt be the best man anymore! I never slept a wink all night and could have killed him!!

Saturday 25th Sept
The day before our wedding!! I was super excited!! Got up early, and went with P to Pick up the BM's dresses. Took them back to mums and Boxed up the bits and pieces for the hotel. P stayed until about 3pm then he went to pick up the Vases for the centre pieces, BM, FOB and FOG Pressies. When he got there they told him they had forgotten to engrave the BM's Tankard! D'OH! They said they would not be able to do it on such short notice now so to bring it back after the wedding. P then went to pick up the Flowers as arranged with our Florist. Who then rung me to tell me we'd made a mistake and she would deliver then on Sunday! (anyone else spotting all the bad luck we had yet?? lol)P then headed to the flat as he was meeting our BM to discuss him pulling out. I felt sick by this point, as he was one of our witnesses and I was extremely worried him and his wife wouldnt come to the wedding anymore, despite them being our best friends. P's Mum rung to see how I was and I told her about all of our bad luck, turns out her Boiler had also packed in so that was one more piece of bad luck to add to the list!!! Aaaarrrrgggghhhhh!!P text me to say that he was with the BM and he was worried about his speech hence the pulling out. Everything was sorted and we had our BM again!! Yipppeeeee!!!Our friends from Liverpool arrived and we all had a few drinks and sung some Karaoke, I have never laughed soooo much in my life. I done my mums, Gemmas, Gines and my BM's Nails before doing my own, having a shower then going to bed. It was about qaurter to 11 by this point. I text P to tell him I couldn't wait till Sunday and that I was going to bed.

Sunday 26th Sept.
OUR WEDDING DAY!!!!!!I woke up at 7 am, as calm as anything. The sun was shining and I was soooo happy as this meant we could get married in the Gardens at the hotel!!I Went down stairs, Had a huge fry up, and watched some TV while everyone else was running about stressing and crying. our friend T asked me if I was bored as I was constantly yawning and I was. I'm sooooo impatient I just wanted the hairdresser and my florist to arrive so I could start getting ready!! The day was dragging in and I was less than amused as I just wanted to be Mrs. Glover!! I spent some time watching 4 weddings and laughing at cartoons. lolAbout 10am my BM poured me a vodka Fresh Orange (as my mum didnt want me drinking so early so this was the easiest drink to hide! lol) and my hairdresser appeared. Into the chair I went and she worked her magic. 11.30 our Tog arrived and we had some photo's (which Im dreading seeing) took, my niece and FG was terrifed of his camera so she kept crying. 12pm and it was time to get into my dress. My Hairdresser and Sister helped me in and laced me up. While the tog took some pics. I then came downstairs, my dad took one look at me and burst into tears. He gave me a big hug. I still wasnt nervous.I poured my brother Gary (who's no longer with us) a whiskey and put it next to his Photo, so that It felt like he was there with us. We then got the FG's and everyone else ready and into the cars we went. There were so many people outside and the kids went crazy when we did the scramble!! On the way to the venue I was chatting away to my dad and the driver, who kept commenting on how calm I was. When the cars pulled up at the venue everyone went inside and I was a little dissapointed, we werent getting married outside. Our master of ceremonies was so apologetic (which I later found out was because my husband told him I would "kick off" that we were getting married Indoors!lol) he said he made the decision to have it indoors as it was a bit chilly earlier in the day.The piper started playing and we walked down the aisle! P never turned to look at me and I didnt notice any of the guests as my Niece started crying as she was overwhelmed with the crowd so I was trying to hurry them down the aisle. When I got to the bottom we started the ceremony and P gave me a huge grin and a wink. During one of the prayers I heard my Niece ask to go to the Loo and then my mum giggling, the ripple of laughter spread through the guests as it turned out my Sister (T's Mum) forgot to put knickers on her so she was going commando!!P got a bit confused during his vows, and got tongue tied, which then spread to the minister so the ceremony was a bit of a giggle. After the ceremony we went outside and on the way my hoop came loose and was falling down my legs so a quick bolt into the loo with my BM to fix it then off out for photo's. It turned out the MOC's made the right choice to have the ceremony in doors as everyone was sinking into the grass!Time for dinner and the speeches. Dad went first and I cried during his as he did such a great job despite being soooo nervous. He talked about how proud Gary would have been of me and he broke down during this part, but pulled it together to finish and I was so proud of him. Then My FIL made a speech welcoming me into the family and he cried too, so that got me started again. Our BM cried too, but he did a great job!!Then it was P's turn and he told the story of how we met and I was so embarrassed!! I'll tell you all the short version though - He was on a football night out and I was on a works night out, I'd been admiring him from afar for a while (he worked for the same company different dept but had friends in my office) so we got chatting and I asked him for a kiss to which he replied no (and now for the embarrassing part) to which I replied "Are you gay!?" Talk about selling tickets on yourself!! lolEveryone was in stitches and my cooking got slagged off (im a rubbish cook) then we had dinner which was LOVELY!! The hotel totally surpassed all our expectations from start to finish and were so attentive!! I could not be more impressed with them!!

The day and night went by soooo slowly and I enjoyed every minute of it!!!

Haha S I got slagged because all I ever cook is chicken and pasta or low fat foods!! lmao I am a good cook but P wont eat low fat stuff!! lol xxx

This is how me and my partner met, he was one of my work friends brother but we had never met and then he came up to me and asked me for a kiss I said no a couple of times and then we kissed and now we are getting married in 16 days.
