The week before
We had both taken the week before off and i was so calm the whole week, we picked the suits up, had my hair and nails done and generally just had a lovely week.
Friday
I went to pick my dress up and took it to the venue where my soon to be husband had driven the flowers from my aunty's florist, she had told me that she had over 200 roses in between all our other flowers. I was so excited to have a peek at the venue, i went home to pack and could not believe how much we needed to take to the venue!! i arrived at the castle in the late evening and about 15 of my family members were staying the night before as well, 9 of us went out for an Indian. The plan was to be in bed early but that never happened! i think i may have gone off to sleep about 1.30a.m with 3 of my bridesmaids and my cousin's girlfriend. I read my good luck thread in bed and then finally turned off the laptop, amazingly i managed to get to sleep pretty easily.
Saturday
My CBM woke me up about 7.00a.m the sky was blue and it looked beautiful, we all managed to get up showered and dressed for breakfast for about 8.00a.m and we all went down to breakfast and again very calm, ate some breakfast and was chatting and talking to everyone. We headed back up to the room and relaxed for about an hour, my husband to be had some flowers delivered to my room which sparked the first tears of the day! Before i knew it i must have had 20 people in my room, including all my BM, Flower Girl, all 3 mothers, brother and his girlfriend and sister in law to be, i was just so calm. Before i knew it i was dressed and ready to go,
however a family of 5 hadn't been able to make it the morning of the wedding and i had forgotten to let them know that she had text me so they were sat waiting oops! and my mum lost her button hole so all in all we were 20 minutes in the room waiting to go down i was sooo impatient and just could not wait to get down those stairs
I walked out with my dad and my TOG captured one of my favourite pics
All my girls were worried about getting down the stairs but we all managed it and looked very elegant if i say so myself,
The ceremony went by so fast, i cried as i walked towards my husband but as soon as i was at his side i stopped and just smiled, he pulled me close kissed me and told me i looked gorgeous, the ceremony was beautiful, my cousin and my brother did their readings, my brother is just 16 and he cried before he even started, my husband had to step in front of him to calm him down but everyone in the room was crying at this point, he did excellent pulled through and everyone clapped.
Then it was all official we had our first kiss
and signed the register which was nice to sit down and smile at everyone, we went outside and managed a big group shot on the steps, our TOG managed to get some amazing shots and it was amazing, we were outside for almost all the drinks reception and i think i may have gotten one or two glasses if that!
The wedding breakfast was fabulous and we managed to eat!
The speeches were amazing considering that the Groom and Best Man had finished them around midnight the night before, My husband did an amazing job, my dad bless him did not really manage his he was too upset but i was able to hear him. Then our best man who is also my cousin did a wonderful speech and was doing ok until he asked everyone to remember our Nanna whose birthday it was if she had still been with us. I must have cried so much.
Our TOG saw the sunset and grabbed us to take some and they turned out amazing, i managed a brief respite in between the day and evening and then it was all go again!!
It was honestly the best day of my life and every time i look at my ring i just smile or cry,
Sunday
It was my birthday so we had breakfast in the restaurant with all the guests who had stayed over which was a really nice way to end the wedding weekend we then came home to read through and open all our beautiful cards.
