Does anyone have one and if so, how did it come about?

I don't have one, just interested in knowing!

At school, I was known as Brillo. Not because I'm such a brilliant person, but because my hair being tight and curly resembled a certain brand of pan scourer.

I've been a Panda ever since I was just a little bear cub! Don't ask me why my parents came up with that - I don't have black & white fur or a pair of black eyes. I suspect it was something to do with supposedly being a cute & cuddly little girl & Panda happened to rhyme with my real name. It has however stuck to the point that I have had bosses call me that at work ? At least it is nothing too rude!

At work I'm Ironside (can't remember how this one started) or Rainman (due to my ability to remember random addresses, names etc). At home the husband calls me Skidge/ Squidge/ wifey. I call him Ney. Very dull and no idea how they came about.

When I was a grotty teenager I used to get called Kevin by my lovely family (after the character from Harry Enfield and Friends!) ?, so my sister was Lu Lu (Kevin's little sister who he would trick into running into table legs!). Now I'm not a grotty teen anymore, my new nickname is La La.....OH's is Dippy :-D

As a kid my Dad would call me Scrappy/Scrap/Scrappy Doo.

My OH calls me Nat-Nat or Sugarpuff. My Brother in law has called me Brat for the past 12 years or so and also gets my Niece to call me Auntie Nat the Brat ?

My dad always called me Dobby. I would like to point out that this was waaaayyyyyy before the Harry Potter books were even thought of by JKR!

My dad was called Robbo at school (surname related), which got shortened to Rob...............he then called me Dob and Dobby?????! Now OH uses it too! ☹️

It could have been worse - my sister got nicknamed Chippy, and for reasons I still haven't discovered!

My nan used to call me Tinkerbell. No idea why, as i'm a sturdy gal, and most definitely not fairy like at all...

My male friends call me DeeDee. They took my first initial and cup size... typical blokes

Everyone in my family calls me Nells or Nellie. Not quite sure why. (when my sisters wanted to be mean, which was most of the time, they used to sing nellie the elephant to me ?s)

I call my OH Budda, not because he's big, but because he's incredibly skinny.

My dad always called me "Daughter child" and when I was 21 I asked him not to anymore as my special 21st present, he still slips up sometimes now but he better not in his wedding speech!

My OH loves 3 letter abbreviations and so sometimes calls me Wo1 - which is an army rank for someone important. WO also sometimes stands for "Wife of" in the army too. So wife of number 1. Or he calls me Little lady - obviously as I am teeny and he is big! haha.

I most often call him him name - but have been known to sometimes call him my BSM - Big strong man and if I am really mad use his work name "Lewie" - his last name is lewis.

My family and firends who have known me for years all call me Boo. It was started by my Dad who called me BooBoo or his little boodyboo and it stuck but got shortened to Boo. I still get called it now, even during the wedding speeches and I love it!

My husband calls me Laura-loo, which I also love!

I get called a variety of things at work (think it must be a military thing!) the main one at the moment is Foggy or Phil - as in Phileous Fogg! (my surname is now Fogg!!) Guess I better get used to those!!!

At school I was known as 'Towns' (my last name shortened) at home and my close friends I get called 'Lou' which I always used to hate growing up but I just accepted that people will always call me it even if I dont like it!

My dad sometimes calls me 'Lou-brush' because he thinks he is a comedian!!!!!

Me and OH just call each other babes ? ?
