October 2012 brides - how is the planning going?

Yeah, they won't stay perfect for long. I remember feeling mortified at all the leaves that were sticking to the bottom of my friends dress but tbh it's going to happen - you can't keep an ivory/white dress perfect for long, especially when it drags on the floor! lol

I have broken up from work today and have been spoilt rotten with cards and pressies- it's been a lovely day. Finishing work makes it seem even more real! 5 more days to go!!! EEEK!

a lot if people of work have all of a sudden started asking me about the wedding so I think there might be some sort of secret collection going on there too ha ha!

I'm all excited tonight, found 2 really nice houses we love online, bit gutted as OH is still away and I've never even moved house before, and I'm going to have to view them without him but we really like them and don't want them to go! So I've got an appointment to view one Saturday and I've emailed the other place for an appointment hopefully tomorrow!! So exciting everything is finally falling in place for us ? xxx

Loving the dress flashes! I tried mine on yesterday and my aunty has done an amazing job on the adjustments, it is very nearly done and flashable I cant wait! x

My mum arrived yesterday and the first thing she said was that I had lost weight. I didn't think I had, as I've been exactly the same weight for years and it never fluctuates, but I have't been eating at all properly the last two weeks so I weighed myself and I've lost 11 pounds in two weeks! I think the dress might be a bit loose now!

Bloody hell! It's all that stress and worrying about your mum!

Go out and treat yourself to some good old junk food! They say people lose weight in the weeks running up to their wedding, sadly I'm not that blessed ha ha! xx

our favours have just arrived and so has h2b's very little wedding present. The outfits for our hen and stag party have arrived ready for this saturday going t be a giggle, my sister and brother in law are throwing us an 80's themed party, cue the crazy tina turner wigs and mulletts hahahaha x

Fresh cream muffin I had yesterday, pizza hut at the weekend, mcdonalds last week... hmmm this could be why ha ha!

I've got your 11lbs if you want it? I seem to be eating worse now than I have done since Christmas!

My only wedding thing today is the 2nd Usher hasn't been for his suit fitting and today is really the deadline. He is off work with man flu so told him to beg shop that he can go later this week. He's had weeks to do this but hasn't so I am a bit annoyed. H2B very annoyed.

Don't worry, our Best Man is trying his suit on the day before the wedding! Praying it fits! xxx

I do indeed!! It's so big and girly ? I think OH will laugh at the size of it, but it's the sort he would have picked for me too!

I didn't want a rehearsal, but we were told that we had to have one. Hopefully it doesn't take the effect away from the actual day.

Planning was hard work but has definately paid off! All sorted now

Venue and registrar booked back in January 2012.

DJ is booked and comes included with our wedding ceremony/reception venue.

Catering is all done by venue also.

Wedding cake and cupcakes being made by OH auntie - expert at cake making.

3 proffesional photographs all within the family so free, as a wedding gift to us.

Including the getting ready photos to the end of the night.

All flowers have been ordered (vases, bouquets, button holes and corsages)

Rings = got months ago, safely locked away.

Ceremony reserved seats for specific people eg.bridesmaids, best man etc.

Our colour theme is purple with a splash of silver.

Just gotta wait now.

Rehearsal went well. Had a few giggles and welled up a bit! Think I'll be a blubbering mess on the day.

Not long now, sooooooo cannot wait!

I've had my cleaning head on today- the house is now spotless and I'm going have a chill out afternoon now I think before things start getting busy tomorrow. At the moment, it seems a little surreal- like it's not really happening to us

How is everyone else doing?

Also, does anybody happen to know where my Good Luck Thread is? I was surprised to have one in the first place but noticed that I did and now I can't find it on the forum- will be needing that tomorrow evening or Friday morning when I sign off.

I've just had a call from my dressmaker telling me that my dress wont be ready to collect tomorrow morning and wants me to pick it up on Friday instead ☹️

Please tell me everything is going to be fine!

Ali_G - I'm sure your dressmaker understand that the Saturday deadline can't be missed! Still it's a stress you don't need on the day before the wedding!
