October 2012 brides - how is the planning going?

Ohh.. I was just including biggish things.. other things we need to do are;

put music on to ipod for ceremony and reception. Finish centrepieces (have currently done 3.. almost) sort out decorations for top table. Order guestbook.. sort out some sort of decoration for ceremony.. trial makeup as I am also DIYing, take photographer to venue.., confirm evening buffet with venue, let venue know of any dietry requirements..

All in all with have a million and 1 thing to do! xx

Oh my god just wrote a nice long happy message and for done reason it didn't post! Completely lost the whole thing!

Aaahhhhh I know!! My stressed mood has totally gone and I'm now super excited!! Still got so much little faffy bits to do cos I barely got anything done yesterday!

I was in such a good mood even getting stuck in a multi storey car park at rush hour with a completely dead tyre didn't stress me out! Nothing can ruin this happy mood lol 2 days to go!!

I'm not ready to sign off yet though, I get too excited to tell you girls everything that's going on! Ill be one of those still standing til the last minute ha ha!

Ahh!! That's great news Nat!! That means that house, job etc are all on the cards still too. Amazing!!

Can't believe you get married in 2 days.. eek! Time is going by so so quickly now. Really can't believe it. I am finishing work at 2pm today and going to a huge crafty shop that sells fake flowers, wedding bits etc to get some last minute bits for the day. Can't wait.

Think I will be one of those posting until the morning of my wedding too. Not many people know the excitement we have apart from the other girls on Hitched! xx

Ha ha I know! Noone else gets excited over what we've done today etc it would be cruel to bore BMs with all that, I love hearing how people are getting on with their wedding planning though! ? xxx

I'm just glad you're here Samjh87 as Nataliexx will be leaving us on Sunday so she can join the OM club! In fact, I guess we are last ones standing as we are the last weekend of October!

I know!! Really glad we are both getting married on the same day so that I know I have someone to natter to for the next couple of weeks. Hitched keeps me sane so I won't go too mental before the big day! All suits have been measured up now (thank god!) and will be ready the Thursday before the wedding. I am doing cupcakes with my friend the Thursday before too. She has a little sideline doing cupcakes so is super at them so will all go without a hitch! (pardon the pun..)

Have you got a honeymoon planned Nat? We have had to delay a honeymoon with OH being messed about with work and not getting any wages for 2 months despite actually working!! He has taken the plunge and gone self employed now only a few weeks ago but all is looking okay so far. Going to go away for a couple of nights after the wedding and will either book a last minute holiday before xmas or look at going away early Feb for a late honeymoon/ birthday treat xx

Nope no honeymoon! We asked for money for a honeymoon as gifts but circumstances have changed, that was when OH wasn't going to leave the army! Then we were planning on 4 nights away somewhere but then we found the house! So all money is going to that now, hopefully well have a late honeymoon around Easter time.

So ill still be about! Ill have a busy week next week but will still find time to reply to you girls... As long as you'll let me when I'm an OM!! Xxx

Moving in to your first house is much more special than a honeymoon! Will be great for you both. What a lovely start to married life.

We have asked if anyone insists on giving gifts that we would like money too. OH proposed at Edinburgh Castle so we may go back to Edinburgh for a few nights which will be lovely. We could have booked a few nights abroad but with money being so tight at the min OH hasn't even got his passport sorted yet so that is first job for after the wedding!!

Of course we still want you here. Would feel empty without you with just me and MM kicking about! xx

MummyMoo and samjh - not forgotten about my date twins, just been manically busy! Being back at work after my 2nd maternity leave, organising wedding and looking after 2 under 3's when not at work is suprisingly time consuming and I just am hardly ever on line for long enough!!

Lots of other stuff left to do - top of the list is sourcing tablecloths, venue advised they don't have any (it's basically a local hall) and hiring them seems to be disproportionately expensive because there are lots of little tables and all the banqueting rolls I've seen for paper ones are 'orrid. Vaguely thinking about buying a load of £1.99 pashminas off ebay as they are about the right dimensions (175x 75cm), at least they'd be fabric and not paper and would be about £40. Wish I'd realised sooner or else I'd have made tablecloths from curtain lining fabric or something.

OMG 2 weeks tomorrow.

Ooh and one silly question - signing the register, do I do this in my name or my new married name (if I decide to change it which I probably will)?

Your registrar should ring you in the week before your wedding to go over stuff like that, I spoke to mine yesterday. You sign in your name as it is now, not your married name xxx

Oh really! That's not very good, I had about a 20 min chat with mine!

the waxing wasn't too bad girls, legs were ok, the Hollywood hurt like hell but it was over in 10 mins and the results are totally worth it! Yet again got no wedding stuff done so going to be a rush tonight and still got to colour mums hair! OH should be home about 10 then no more Germany!!! Xxx

Last bits of centrepieces finished today. Table plan ready to print. Guestbook...... Still a bit blank and no pen(s), more ribbon bought for cake ..(got about 6 as I can't decide). I have got at least. 4 Xmas presents today. Not really the time to being doing shopping for that, but it's all I have to look forward to after the wedding!

Sorry haven't been around much today ladies! Had a manic day! Everything is now sorted and just got back from a (very expensive) meal with 15 members of our families tonight which was lovely! Finally a bit of chill time!

I'm now officially signing off as a Miss!! I think ill be too busy to send any updates tomorrow ha ha... Thank you all for the support and the company during the last few weeks, you e all been amazing! I will keep messaging after the wedding so ill have time to wish you all much before your big days! I've not been on for little bit now as kids and h2b been poorly this week so only made it onto the fb page accassionly.........i cant believe tomorrow is the day, starting to get very excited now i just hope that everyone is better and nothing bad ends up happening!

Can't believe how quickly time is going!

Had to re-jig table plan this weekend as we had a few people drop out. this has left me needing 1 centre piece short as we added an extra table and reduced table numbers to make things work better! Finished the 5 I have but still need to buy and put together 1 more now..

Did get lots sorted over the weekend though. I opted for fake flowers for bouquet. Hadn't decided what I was doing up until Saturday as a lady I work with is a part time florist so she had offered to do them but though I would just go fake and save the hassle!

I'm a faker too. Although I didn't DIY mine.

Cake lady coming today to collect topper and ribbon. h2B away for work for a few days so I must wrap his present / do his card etc. I must also do something about the guestbook. It's blank pages are stressing me out!

i realised yesterday that the clocks change when we get married, so day 1 of being husband and wife we get an extra hour in bed!

I had already clocked this MM!! Think we planned really well for us to get an extra hour haha

My friend is now doing cupcakes. I was going to do them with her on the Thursday evening but she has now said that she will do them herself which is 1 less thing for me to worry about!

I get married in 4 days. The next two days at work are going to be such a waste haha! Can't concentrate at all.

ooh hadn't seen that lsting before, there are loads of us marrying in 12 days. Still have loads to do, top 2 priorities chosing processional music and sitting in tub of arnica cream to rid legs of 12" long gashed bruise from hen do. Why did I choose a knee length dress??!!
