I am a similar size to you although i'd hoping to loose weight before the big day.

I have also looked at the website and thought this dress was gorgeous! I am having my dress made but am planning on trying on a few of there dresses to get an idea

Thats a fantastic dress! As a size 18 myself I've always been disappointed with the availability of posh frocks of any kind, but the range that dress is from seems to have the market covered. You'll look fab, whatever size the label says.

You should have a look at the About A Bride website. They're based in MK so it's a bit far from Kent, but the blurb on the site says they can help arrange accommodation and stuff if you want to travel in to try on their frocks.

Thanks for that, but I think I've found mine already - I'm having a corset and skirt. I won't hijack your thread, I'll post another with my picture.

Sammy I got my dress from Vanilla Bridal in Newport Pagnell - mine is Ian Stuart but she does other ranges and plus size (hate that term).

MIL said she'd take me over to Newport Pagnell in a few weeks but I can't find out if they stock this dress yet. About A Bride in Fenny Stratford have it so I'll go there this weekend and see how I get on before going to Vanilla Bridal. Thanks for the recommendation!

I'm having a real ordeal getting through to the store just now but I've emailed them to ask for an appointment this weekend. If they let me take a pic, I'll definitely definitely flash! I'll have to go on my own to try it on so will need some opinions other than the saleswoman in the store!

I went for the Veromia Sonsie range too as I am a plus size, They are a beautiful range, very flattering, I went for 9007. I do love that dress you flashed but unfortunately it didn't do anything for me as all the frills just seemed to add bulk to me which I definitely didn't need ! Hopefully your local shop has a few from the range you can try, good luck!

Hi! No they didn't have it in the end. Apparently someone had been in a few days before and panic-bought the shop sample because she'd left it too late to order one. They had some in virtually identical styles though and when I tried them on, they weren't quite right. They made me look a lot bigger around the hips and in the end I fell in love with an A-line Sincerity Bridal gown instead!
