Oh no.... :o(

sidsidney, 21 September, 2010 at 19:04 Posted on Planning 0 10

☹️Just checked the weather for Friday and it is PANTS!!! Rain, wind gusts up to 37mph and a drop in average temperature of about 6 degrees from Wed/Thur. PAH!

Now I have visions of my hair getting wet and becoming a HUUUUUUGE frizzball [:'(] Or freezing. Or getting blown all over the shop....!

Off to the church tonight for our rehearsal, so I might have to ask the vicar to put a word in with the big man for no rain! Im gutted!

Noooo, don't be gutted. It'll be a beautiful day no matter what the weather is like. However, you could do with finding someone who has a lovely big golfing umbrella!!

I'm sorry to hear that, but don't let it ruin your day. Buy a pretty umbrella and make a feature of it! Then otherwise enjoy the day indoors x

You can't let it spoil your day! Just remember how wrong Michael Fish was with the hurricane ?

    hehe, yeah I remember!

A pal has lent me her wedding umbrella - she said that anyone she's lent it to has had good weather on their day, so hoping that holds out.....!

A French lady told me recently that if it rains on your wedding day, in France its good luck and means you will have a long marriage. So if it tips it down that will have to be my 'silver lining' lol

    Hi sidsidney,

the weather was horrid on our wedding day it rained pretty much all day on and off and it was very windy and the only time I noticed it was when I was waiting for the car to arrive to pick me and dad up. for the rest of the day you will be so happy and busy talking to people and having photos done etc you won't even notice. yes I was a bit wind swepped after the photos but nothing that couldn't be sorted.

you will have a wonderful day no matter what the weather I promise

    Fi

    xx

If it's any consolation, I absolutely love rainy wedding photos and think they're soooooo romantic.

Thanks ladies - Im sure Ill cope (but a little Hitched sundance would be good!!)

Although I was a bit concerned when we went for our rehearsal tonight to find someone has stolen lead from the church roof, and so rain was leaking through the ceiling at someones wedding recently! Think they have it temporarily fixed, or I might be needing that brolly indoors!

It will be great rain or sun. Just remember if it rains on your wedding day its supposed to be a blessing from God. So silver lining and all that. xx
