O/T - Primark Bikini

Mrs Poon, 21 April, 2011 at 14:37 Posted on Planning 0 17

Had a thought the other day that while the shops have their Summer collections out that I had better get shopping for some honeymoon maxi's and bikini's ?.

So my question is have any of you ladies ever brought a bikini from Primark and if so what did you think. Have seen a couple of nice darker colour ones I like. Not sure how they hold up after a wee dip in the pool though. Nothing worse than the bride emerging with her nips and nanny goat on show for the whole complex ?.

I've had them before and they have been fine, but I've always avoided the pale ones!

I had the same idea as you and there was a bikini in primark which I really loved (red and white striped one) but they didn't have the bottom half in my size so I couldn't buy it Smiley sad. So no, never bought a bikini from there but everything else I have bought has lasted ok, so I'm sure it will be fine. My only advice is to go and buy them quickly before they sell out!

Sorry, can't help with the bikini decisions, but I just sniggered like an idiot at that sentence and choked on my Ribena!

Yep will be winter here when we fly (31.10.11) but hot, hot, hot in Cape Verde hopefully (not that we have booked it yet, tut tut).

Liking your style and thinking though Canterburybride. Have now changed plans, will put a little bit of my wages aside each month then hit them Sales in August ?

Can't comment on primark but it's now become tradition for me to buy a new bikini from Accessorize at the airport every time we go away!

Tax free so v reasonable! x

I have a few bikini's from good old Primarni - never have had a problem with them lasting to be honest. Would also suggest Peacocks?

Tried George, but i have quite a generous chest and they never seem to cover it... xx (NANNY GOAT????? - files that away - drunken conversation gold that is!!!) xx

Last yr I brought one of those 'boost' bikinis that they had in every colour of the rainbox (just because I liked the colour and the bow really). It was very good, BUT when I got out of the water the 'boost' bit (which must be like sponge padding) held the water so i had to keep pressing on the bikini top (discretely) and a fountain of water would pour out! My OH found it hilarious, I wasn't as impressed. But it has held it's colour with chlorine & sea water & sun & washing and was very cheap :-)
