I've just finished Cecilia Ahern's new one called The Book of Tomorrow, that was really good. Also love anything by Marian Keyes.

I'd recommend the twilight saga (twilight, new moon, eclipse, breaking dawn) and The true blood series.

My Sister's Keeper is a tear jerker. Also love The Time travellers wife, her Fearful Symmetry,The Lovely Bones and Memoirs of a geisha.

I've just finished 'Wasted' by Marya Hornbacher. It's a seriously frank insight into the way she lived through and lives with her eating disorders. its a wierd one but i couldn't put it down!

Sounds like we pretty much like the same books, I have read everything by celia Ahern, Marion keys, twilight the series, just reading Bree Tanner's short 2nd life, also read the Host. Read all LJ Smith's books. read all Sophie kinsellas except mini shopaholic as it gets bad reviews on Amazon. Read quite a few Jodie Picoult. Not sure about True Blood as I didn't like the TV series. I will check out the rest thank you.

Best book I've read in about 5 years was "The Crimson Petal and the White" by Michael Faber...

Finished it and started it all over again... a book that sucks you right in...

AMAZING read... Its about a prostitute in 1860's London, but it's so, SO much more than that! :-) x

Omg, The Time Travellers Wife is an amazing book, so much better than the film. And her Fearful Symmetry. Not read the other 2 yet.

The best book Ive read for ages is "No Time for Goodbye" by Linwood Barclay - its one of those thrillers - cant put it down ones. Ive lent it to two people who both read in a day - its really gripping!!

We need to talk about Kevin, by Loinel Shriver. Scary scary subject matter but unputdownable, and very well written.

3d - WOW its rare to find people who've even heard of LJ Smith let alone read all her books! wait i'm forgetting Vampire Diaries made her a bit better known! Just in case you havent read everything she's written - heart of valor and night of the solstice have recently been re-published (they were the only ones I hadn't read)

    Would agree with the others:

Anything by Sophie Kinsella, Katie Fforde is also really good for light romance, and one i came across recently Jane Beaton's - Class and also Rules - they're like Mallory Towers for grown ups

If you like LJ you might also like Remember Me by Christopher Pike, also been recently re-released if you haven't read it.

Also if you want to try something a little different try Trudi Canavan - Black Magicians Trilogy can't recommend it enough

I tend to read anything and everything!

I just find it frustrating that every series of books is unfinished and waiting for the last book to come out. Stefan's diaries come out next month. I will look at the one's you suggest and a great list form everyone else to work through. Love the fact you can get one in aa minute by downloading. however as I am also linking it with an iphone ap and reading at lunch and in queues I am going to spend a lot more on books lol

I bought that ages ago and couldn't get into it AT ALL.

The best crime author I've found is Lisa Gardner - she's amazing.

Trudi Canavan's first series was ok, but I think she's gone a bit downhill. I'm really struggling with her new one.

Jodi Picoult is a legendary writer. So many of her books have actually made me cry.

Have you read the Kite Runner and also A Thousand Spendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini? Brilliant. And one of the best book to film adaptations I think.

Another I'd recommend is The Lizard Cage by Karen Connelly about Burma. One of my all time favourites.

3D, how did you like the Host? It took me a while to get into it, but it is the only book to have ever make me cry with the ending, such a good book and I am so looking forward to the film Smiley smile

I'm not much of a girly book reader, I much prefer crime thrillers.

I would very much recommend the author Nelson DeMille, especially the John Corey series. They are absolutely fabulous, so funny and also a good dose of action and bits of romance.

    xx
