I have a full back piece of egyptian gods, translated text (into egyptian) and symbols. I have some room on there, so i think i might at some point work my partners name in there once i've translated it into egyptian. Then it's not readable....unless like me you can read egyptian glyphs! lol xxx

For me I described the pain of a tattoo like a blunt hot knife slowly cutting me! Never ever again! I don't deal with pain well at all though and admit I am a woss!

Woooooow that sounds beautiful! I've always had an obsession with Ancient Egypt, never been able to learn glyphs though (not for the lack of trying hehe ?) - Thats well impressive! I've got 'create' in glyphs on my forearm (since surrounded by dotwork) and horus on my upper arm (since surrounded by a half sleeve of hummingbirds and cherry blossom). Also got big old school swallows on lower back and a couple of other little tats.

Wouldn't get partners name as such, but would consider getting something that represented him (e.g. on my half sleeve I've got three hummingbirds, each represents my mum, dad and sister)

Coooeeeeeyy..... another chavvy slapper over here!

Claire as a general rule the outline on a tat hurts more cos it's one needle and because it moves so quickly the skin doesn't get chance to get used to it. When the infill is done it hurts less because it's 6 or more needles and it's more of a numb feeling. Once you settle in to it it's fine. My advice is to go for a smaller one first.

Going back to the pratt who passed judgement - I am offended! Not that I need to justify myself but I'm a decent hardworking person, with well looked after children and a nice home. I have never 'slept around' and I don't wander round looking like Vicky Pollard's twin. How dare you pass judgement on me when you have never met me! ?

Oh, and doesn't being a slapper involved sleeping around?? Aren't we on a wedding forum??????

    Rant over!

Looks like another chavvy slapper here too.

I have 8 tattoo's and i love everyone of them, am planning on number 9 as soon as i figure out exactly what i want.

Each one of my tat's has a story and a reminder of many moments in my life and i wouldn't change any of them for the world. I have the most amazing tattooist who has done such a wonderful job with all of mine and has even managed to pull off the impossible with some of the designs i've wanted ( i always get the what have you brought me this time roll of the eyes look hehe)

I don't find them painful at all, i have to admit i do rather like the feeling

My tatt is on my foot and it didn't hurt at all. Only took 20 mins or so but I actually felt more tickled than pain!

Mine didn't hurt that much either. I quite like the pain but then I like the pain of labour and childbirth and that does make me weird! I am not offended by thechavvy slapped comment I just find the judgmental Ness amusing. I feel sorry for her having such a dim view, am more offended by the retard comment as I hate that word I have a disabled daughter who has had 'retard' thrown at her all her life. So whoever it was you must feel very clever.

some people are so dim and ignorant.

Another chavvy retarded slapper (amongst many other amusing terms thrown about) reporting in. I loved the pain and just relaxed in to it.

In all honesty i am rather amused at a lot of peoples narrow minded comments and opinions, but they've given me a good laugh at the same time.

    I pity some of you.

Noooooooooo you can't use the numbing cream! My half sleeve (posted many pages back) took 4 hours and I was damned if I was going to wince, cringe or cry. I also was not going to pay more for a numbing cream! So I took the pain like a man lol. My tattoo artist was actually really impressed Smiley laugh I found the colouring in more irritating than anything, it was like someone scraping sunburn. And the itching afterwards! OMFG it annoyed me so much. Well worth it now though, must keep up my chavvy slapper image.

Sidenote re pain of childbirth - I must be a nutter cos I really, really enjoyed my sons birth (with just a snifter of gas and air). And he was an eye watering 10 pounds 1 ounce!
