At the moment i'm a receptionist but will be starting my new job on 4th January. I'll be a service delivery advisor, not 100% sure what i'll be doing so i'll let you know, lol.

i would have loved to have been a hairdresser and sometimes think that i should do something about it before it is too late, ?

Well, I left school at 18 to work and so I qualified as an accountant at 20 and then did a kind of "degree top up" through a scheme my accountancy body run and got my degree in applied accounting at 21. Which was 100% the right option for the job I am doing and is common practise in the industry,

But this means that I have never done any time at Uni so it would be a long process for me to go back and start studying to be a teacher. From looking at the average salary information in my area (the midlands) I would be looking at a 30-40% drop in my salary - with so many financial commitments that I have to go along with my current salary, it's just never going to be an option! Smiley sad

I am a full time lobbyist for the Spangles Catering Company. She pays me in biscuits.

Alternatively, I'm a qualified lawyer but I run my own business advising on law firm mergers and strategic team hires. I don't pay myself in biscuits although it's a plan I'm working on.

I like the sound of this Cricks! Shall I send a letter to Royal Mint and recommend they scrap paper/ metal money and look into biscuits as currency? Only problem is you wouldn't be able to bank anything as you'd eat it. Maybe not such a good idea after all... Rock cakes?

Well.... By day I'm a Technical Project Manager. Am starting a new job (same title) at Hotels4U next week.

The rest of my time is spent doing what I love most. Stationery.

You did ACCA in 2 years?

I stopped at (what used to be, back in my day!) Level 2 ACCA, which is now fundamentals. I'm not a nice person around exam time so gave up for the sake of myself and H! ?

Me too but am a bit of a wimp at taking the plunge! Think once wedding is out of the way might try and start something I can do alongside my job initially, like outside catering but for cakes/baking only and farmers markets on a weekend to see how feasible it really is!

@RaeF - I did the exams over the course of 30 months yep - I did them all in groups of 3 until the final stage and then sat the final 2 together. I was luckly that some of it came natural due to what I was doing in the day at work, and my best friend and housemate also was doing the same so I had an amazing study buddy! But I would expect exam time would be enough to test any relationship, luckily I was mostly single during that time. hehe

We have a girl in my place who did them in 3 groups of 4 plus 2 finals. Bearing in mind we also work completely mental hours - easily 10+ hour days from Jan to June she was some clever woman!

I am a Health and Safety Supervisor for an IT company (really the manager but calling me Supervisor they can pay me less ☹️ ) I'm starting to regret taking the job on now. I would love to do wedding planning, seem to have the bug and I would get to look at sparkly things all day Smiley smile

RaeF - for a while I considered the conversion to ACA or the CTA tax exams, then I thought, WHAT ARE YOU DOING! So I did the degree program and have put my study pens down for good now!

Cricket Bride - the 10 hour days were the easy bit, it was the evening study classes and 2 hours per exam per night that we were expected to do on top that was a bit much. Also - Just had a peek at your dress flash (I'm sure you don't need me to tell you but - it's beautiful). Can I be nosey and ask - how old are you? You look really young to be as sucessful as I think you are.

Well I started out as an architectural technician - designing buildings and such like!!

Then got made redundant from 2 jobs in 18 months and had a complete career change and ventured into the NHS! So now I work in the main operating theatres at the hospital!!

Although I am looking to go back into architecture as its were my heart is!!

Kinda wish I could do an evening class or an intensive course to learn how to do nails!! Strange eh?!

No she only looks that young because of all the botox and face lifts. She is actually 75 but looks like she's in her twenties.
