Completely off topic but I wondered what everyone wears on Xmas day, do you get dressed up for dinner or stay fairly casual??

At my parents where we are going this year we get dressed up (proper little party dresses and heels etc) whilst last year when at OH's family they stay in PJs all day. I hated it, we stayed there Christmas eve and so I brought a spare set of PJs so I didnt have to wear the ones I had slept in all day.

I usually wear whatever i've been given as a pressie, so usually something "fancy". This year will be casual, as i'm basically wearing whatever has room for my bump. Totally going for comfort this year.

As I am originally from Romania, we have a tradition that on Christmas Day you should wear something new or at least dress up a bit, so I always wear a dress or skirt or smart trousers, heels, etc...

I'll probably be wearing a t-shirt dress - no waistband to worry about! Or a comfy skirt & t-shirt.

And waterproof mascara - OH always manages to find something that makes me cry when I open it!

When we were little, my mum used to make us get dressed (into our party dresses) before we were allowed to open our presents. In OH's house, they wear slobby clothes for most of the day. As we'll be sleeping at his parents' house Xmas Eve, I'll wear PJ's in the morning, then get dressed in a nice jumper and leggings/jeans before we go over to my parents for lunch.

The kids wear their PJ's when we open the presents and me and the H2B wear comfy clothes as we don't really own any PJ's (?). My daughter will wear a sparkly dress and will her lip gloss and my son will wear the first thing he lays his hands on later on in the day.

I'll be wearing slobbies till about 12, then if I get given any clothes as pressies then I put them on for the rest of the day lol. I'm still such a child when it comes to Christmas hehe! But usually its just casual stuff, unless we go out somewhere.

I've bought this: http://shop.hm.com/gb/shoppingwindow?dept=DAM_SKJ_BLU&shoptype=S to wear with a pair of new jeans and will hopefully get up and dressed and fully made up before opening pressies. Depending on whether my niece gives us time!

OHs mom wants photos taken of Xmas morning as I think deep down she knows it's going to be the last one of everyone together and so wants to make it into a photobook! Grrr.

Usually we open pressies in PJs as usually have new clothes as pressies which we will want to wear.

I like to get a bit dressed up, smart casual style. I LOVED always having a new pretty dress to wear on Christmas Day when I was little. Wish I could afford to buy a whole new outfit every Christmas these days! My kids are always in smart stuff too, I like making the effort. H2b on the other hand... well he *never* dresses up very smartly. I might persuade him into a nice pair of jeans and a nice jumper, but that's about it. Otherwise he'll stick with combats and band t-shirts!
