O/T Your Exercise Regime

Mrs_T2B, 10 June, 2010 at 20:31 Posted on Planning 0 22

So ladies, what do you all like to do to keep fit? Kinda ties in with most of us brides healthy eating and exercise to get in great shape for the big day (hope that doesn't offend anyone)? ?

I go to the gym 3 times a week with my fiance, play badminton with my work girls once a week and will start Zumba lessons in July once a week. I walk around alot at work too which helps.

So what do you do?

Our wedding is just over 8 weeks away so at the moment I walk the dog for one hour on the beach from 05:30 , then I go to the gym at 06:45. Once a week I swap the gym session for a swim session (this morning!!)

I do about 60 mins of cardio and 15 mins of weights for my arms..........it's killing me!

I run, probably about 3 times a week but it varies depending on what the week's like - normally 5-8k each time but sometimes more. I also have just started playing basketball once a week (I'm rubbish but there's a lot of sprinting) and I cycle to/from work (3 miles each way).

I have a goal to run 100k this month, so far I've made it to 35 ?

I have to admit though, the intensity of my exercise is increasing as the wedding gets closer ?

I did a Zumba class for the first time on Tuesday and it was great fun! I sweated buckets and laughed loads! Not the best workout for cardio as I also do Personal training and spinning but I really enjoyed it. Iwould really recommend it x

I go to the gym 3-4 times a week and turn into a sweaty beetroot - 40 mins of cardio then a lot of work with weights. Need to get rid of the bingo wings and back boobs!

I do Body Combat, in fact, I did it tonight and I love it. It's fun and you feel great afterwards!

I also go to the gym about 3 times a week and cycle, use the cross trainer and do abs and arm weights. I'm planning to step it up next year as I get married in July 11.

Errrrrmmmm ladies - you are all making me feel EXTREMELY lazy!!! ?

until 6 months ago I did ZERO exercise but now I'm a gym member and I do try and go 3-4 times per week but with my shift pattern I don't always achieve it. And when I'm there I certainly don't work out as hard as you lot...

    ...please tell me you're exaggerating!!!???!!!!!

Good God people! You are all machines! I thought I was doing ever so well with 2 visits to the gym (about 1:30 - 2 hrs) and a spin class on a sunday morning (about 50 mins). I feel all flabby and lazy now. Are you in in the throes of pre-wedding fat-busting or is this normal for you all? And how on earth do you find the time? Saracroft (I think) 05:30 am? ?

Ugh, exercise. It's all I think about lately, and the food I cannot eat!

I've been a gym member for ages, I always go atleast ocne a week but do aim for twice. My friend and I started swimming this week too, now that it is a bit warmer I don't mind stripping off so much. Going to Aqua running next week - where your in a deep pool with bouyancy aid and have to run to the water. Should be good!

I've been going to curves ladies gym for nearly 2 years now and i love it, it doesn't feel like a hardship. you just go 3 times a week and each circuit is 30 mins...no brain power requiered (plus it's good for my social life) and their curves weight management scheme is excellent I've seen the results!

This is making me feel very slobish!! I was v good before Christmas in prep for the wedding, did lots of walking, and ate well but am rubbish atm! In the last week I've been going on the wii (getting well into hula hooping!) and walking wherever poss - my job is quite mobile so I'm trying to walk instead of drive and when i get the bus getting off a few stops early, etc.

I keep meaning to start swimming as that's the only formal exercise I actually like (have tried being a gym member soooo many times but finally must accept I can never keep it up for more than a month!)

You guys are motivating me though - less pizza, more hula!

I HATE exercising but since it's got light in the mornings I've been going for 6am runs every other morning (about 40 mins of running, 20 mins of walking/resting!), I also do Davina's DVD and The Biggest Loser DVD on the days I don't run. I do have Saturdays or Sundays off though because running with a hangover is like entering hell. Plus my two little boys keep me active hangover or not.

I wasn't very heavy before just a bit flabby after having my second child so I haven't put much pressure on myself. I bought my wedding dress in a size 12 but it's definitely coming off because it's too big now. What would you say the average weight loss is for a bride? I think I'll have lost about a stone/stone and a half by August. What about everyone else?

    Monday - aerobics

Tuesday - gym (cardio + weights)

Wednesday - circuit training + hockey

    Thursday - boxing

Saturday - gym again + usually chasing my nephew round a park

Have been trying to eat healthily too, salads for lunch etc. Have not lost a single pound. ?

Been doing the classes for over a year now and recently incorporated the gym too. I give up!!!!

OK so with work being busy at the moment I sometimes loose one of my sessions but this is a good reresentation

Mon-Fri Min 2 miles walking to and from work (at least one day a week this is 4 miles)

Mon Usually gym night 1-1.5 hours in the gym (40 Min to an hour free weights for arms and legs plus core stability work and a 20-30 min cardio session based on a interval/sprint routine)

Tue 1-2 hours of ballet class

Wed Gym (usually a shorter session 10- 15 min warm up cardio and then free weights and core stability stuff)

    Thursday (rest)

Friday Gym (cardio and weights) or if I don't make that a Jog round the village 3-5 miles depending on how I feel

Sat Early am jog 3-5 miles, and usuallya walk with OH (weather allowing) 2miles plus often up a big hill (normally out for 1-2 hours brisk walking)

Sun nothing to major just nice brisk walk and if Im feeling chubby a jog.

We are about to get an allotment so hoping that will help all over toning for the wedding plus considering investing in some small dumbells for home so I can squeeze a few extra weight sessions in.

Friday - Gym straight after work for an hour or so

    That's enough for me!!!

I want to start running but at the moment my shins are causing me a lot of pain!!!
