Our DIY invites *flash*

BrownEyedGal, 4 September, 2013 at 22:56 Posted on Planning 0 36

Thought I'd do a little flash of our invites. Wanted them to be quite personal and simple with a splash of colour. Hope you like them Smiley smile

    Brilliant!

I am frankly amazed by the talent on these forums for making things. These look really professional. All my attempts looked like a 3 year old had gone mad with PVA! You must be really pleased.

Thanks so much for all the lovely responses! Made my day Smiley smile

We ordered the pocketfold card from PDA card and craft, I knew I wanted it to be colourful inside and they have the option to do that. Then we picked fonts from dafont.com and designed the bunting names. I stamped the 'happily ever after' and date on the outside and the guests names inside. Printed off the details and info etc onto the inserts. We then designed the little corner borders to print on. The picture of the bride and groom and dog is hand drawn onto each invite, we wanted it to be personal to us so we included our little doggy Smiley smile Although we now have two ducks too hmmm....haha. We're really pleased with how they've turned out.

Thank you again for flashing this. It gave me the kick up the rear that I needed to get moving with mine. I have used yours as an inspiration. I hope you don't mind but I love the idea of a patterned inside. I have just placed an order with PDA Cards and crafts and will put a flash up when I have something to show.

Can I ask - how do order on the PDA website? I wanted to do a very similar design with the pocket fold and printed inside but their website is well confusin and I just can't work out what bits to click! It's driving me mad. Help.

Wow! I LOVE these! I've already made mine otherwise I might have had to take some inspiration from you ?

But I also used PDA, they were brilliant, although I must admit I was a bit confused by their website to start with. I think it helped to get my tape measure out, and just really take my time looking through the website and make myself familiar with it. If in doubt, I used good old google!

Aw thanks that's really flattering, glad you like them and that they've been helpful! Look forward to seeing yours!

On PDA C&C you go to wallets and pocketfold > pocketfolds and inserts > printed pocketfold > then decide what colour/style you want. The different patterns are under background papers and you need to make note of the code of that pattern to type in the design box. Also put a note on the order that you want the pattern on the inside not the outside (or however you want it).

    Hope that helps Smiley smile
