Perfume

~Peanut~, 6 August, 2012 at 22:13 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 16

I'm going on holiday on Friday and I fancy buying a new perfume at the duty free. I rarely wear perfume as I prefer smelling fresh and clean rather than of a strong scent. Anyone got any recommendations of light and fresh-smelling perfumes?

I will say check out this site before you travel https://www.allbeauty.com/ as in my experience generally comes up cheaper then duty free.

I second cheapsmells.com they have some good deals.

I have the DKNY apple (Be delicious?) perfume in the pink variety and I love it. It's one of the few perfumes that doesn't make me sneeze or go blotchy. It's very delicate, sweet and fresh which makes it right up my street.

My favourite is Euphoria Blossom by Calvin Klein. It's a light one. I dont like heavy perfumes. The CKin2U one is a citrus type smell as well which is quite fresh.

Duty Free isn't a bargain anymore. Boots and the like of Cheapsmells.com always have better deals.

I'm currently wearing CK Summer, which is very light. Other day perfumes are Mark Jacobs Daisy & Carolina Herera 212 VIP.
Sarah jessica Parker Lovely is a very light scent, Lancome Oui another. Diesel Fuel for Life is on offer in Boots and again a light citrus scent.

I find perfumes smell differently on everyone so it's hard to recommend.

Clinique Happy is my favourite. I got bought a bottle from a friend ages ago and I loved it, it was only small and when it was finished I kept the bottle so I knew what to buy and my um had thrown it out so I have no clue what it was! Also my mum wears Este Lauder Pleasures which I love too.

I looked duty free coming back from Ibiza and it wasn't much cheaper.

Just checked and both Boots and CheapSmells are also on topcashback!

I wear Christina Aguilera, Diesel Fuel for Life and Lacoste Touch of Pink, don't think the latter is too heavy smelling.

I got 100ml of Marc Jacobs Daisy for £56.00 in boots - when I was in amsterdam a few weeks ago it was the same price at the airport so might as well get my boots points.

They had the new Marc Jacobs one, the ladybird looking bottle at 50ml for £66.00 so it was a no brainer for me. It was quite sweet as well, think it would be very sickly.
