Pets 'pet' names

samjh87, 7 February, 2013 at 11:19 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 45

Excuse the pun..

What are your pets names and what other names do you call them?

We have a cat called Ozzy (we live on Osborne Road..) who gets called Ozwoz.

Dog is called Manson (Marilyn Manson. black lab.. carrying on the rock/ goth theme). He always gets called Panty Pants or just Pants. Manson- Mansy- Mansy Pants- Pantsy Pants- Pants (trying to justify it here but really we are just cruel cruel dog parents!)

This isn't too bad when in the house but when we are out on walks shouting Pants it really isn't the best! Sad thing is that it has completely stuck now and if I'm talking to anyone about the dog they look completely puzzled when I say his 'name'.

We had a Liquorice who we called Licky the whole time. Everyone just presumed that was his name the kids had chosen it.

I actually did think your dog was called Pantsy, you've said it a few times! Manson is a good name though. If/When I have a black lab I want to call him Bond, as I'm a big bond fan, but then if I ever have a son I'll call him James (family name, not because of the Bond connection, I'm not that bad!) but realised I couldn't be out on a walk shouting after both of them!

Moby gets mobs, mobycat, fatty (although he doesn't like this one!) and lots of food ones (mainly from mum) such as sausage roll, jam tart etc also little button and little gem for some unknown reason. Also I always say little man which is funny because he is massive and definitely not little anything!!

    Tessa is called the following:

    Tess

    Tessa Lessa Poopants

    Tessa-Loo (most used)

Tessa Loolie, or Loolie Girl. For a while I said Loolie Bird, l although she is not a bird

    Baby Girl /Big Girl

Beautiful Girl (although DH calls me that sometimes so I get confused as to no he is talking to!)

Our son also has a range of silly pet names. Mr Moo being the most common. Actually I called him Moomin as I was putting him in his carseat at Asda and a woman looked at me like that was his real name!

Most people do! I started a new job last year and said 'Pants' when talking and didn't understand why people weren't following the conversation. I just presume everyone must realise it's the dogs name. If H is picking me up from work I often get the text 'Should I bring Pants?'.. The one day I say no i'm expecting him to turn up in his boxers..

I call my rabbit "pudding" quite a bit because he's round like a Christmas pudding.........

Dylan's got a few. He is usually "honey pants" or "honey bum" as hes honey coloured, or Dilly-dog. I used to call him Puppy when he was little, that turned into Poopy so he gets called that too as well.

He answers to them all now :\ particulary fond of Poopy though!
